The company they have outsourced to is The Access Group, which uses a virtual/ online Access Workspace to make bookings.
I have been supplied my own login and password to use this software However under 'My Details' tab, my Bank account number, associated sort code and National insurance number are displayed.
We were not told about this, nor have I given my permission for this information to be shared.
I see no justification for this information to be shared if the Access Workspace is to be used for booking annual leave.
Is this legal? I feel this may be a breach of GDPR and am concerned about the data being hacked.

I’m not gonna go into details about the relationship but I spent months getting beat and cheated on and blocked unblocked death threats, knives held to my throat items stolen. Drugged. Endorsing my suicide infront of police. Everything under the umbrella. I collected evidence (which then was told by counseling to delete) I never got any Justice for anything.
I think I spent two months prior to meeting said individual asking to talk, a sign really just asking to speak. I was given STD’s (without knowledge they were actually cheating on me) I felt disgusting. I really wanted to end the relationship. I kept asking to talk and I had no luck getting a good word in and formally breaking apart. I’d spend nights getting accused of cheating when I was out living life I would fear being around other men as I would get calls and accused.
One day I’m being asked to buy him gifts and so I ask “how come I have to buy you things to see you.” And he said “ask yourself that.” I just don’t know why I even bothered. I drove to the place to pick up the items and then I get phone calls of someone threatening to kill me and how mentally insane I am and then he calls me tells me to go back home tells me to block the numbers. I’m just getting freaked out irl and he hangs up blocks me unblocks me blocks me he calls me cussing me out. I’m getting frustrated and people around me are asking to buy my car. So then I continue to go meet him because I just wanted to speak and break it off I just wanted to talk. Biggest regret. I don’t know why. So then I come and hes paying me zero attention very disinterested in anything I’m saying. Very cold. So then he leads me to a McDonald’s and I’m trying to explain why I came and whatever. Zero interest. Then he says “drive to the spot.”
So we drive to this spot that’s behind a bunch of buildings and it’s an empty parking lot. And he tells me to park. Then he gets into the back seat of my car and sits there. I just wanted to talk honestly. He went into the backseat and started signaling me to come back. “We will talk come back here.” Then he pulls his pants off. Rescue efforts continue after the breach of the Kakhovka dam, but Ukraine says more help is needed.
It comes as the first deaths were reported following the breach of the dam in the Russian-occupied area of southern Ukraine.
The delegation, made up of a number of leaders of African countries, is expected to visit Ukraine and Russia in June.
Some 8.3 million people have fled Ukraine since Russia's invasion in early 2022, according to the UN refugee agency, UNHCR. Of those, 5.1 million have temporary protection under special arrangements without them having to apply for asylum in the EU, Norway and Switzerland.
"The Russian soldiers, the Russian police, the authorities, everyone working in the hostel has been treating us extremely well," said passenger Girvaan Singh Kahma, 16, adding that they were barred to leave the hostel in Magadan and were unable to use their credit cards because of sanctions over Russia's war in Ukraine.

SO, I've had the credit building service through Kikoff for a little over a year now and started up another loan after paying off my previous one because it positively affected me! Until recently, they have a service kind of like credit karma does where you can open a checking account/card. Well, in April I got a text on my phone saying that they were printing a card for the banking service and that I would be receiving it soon, I didn't think anything of it, thinking it was some sort of procedure to send one after I paid a loan paid off or starting a new one or whatever. Needless to say, I never got it and completely forgot about it. A few weeks went by and I noticed money being taken out of my account, more than usual for Kikoff but again, I just thought it was for the loan and shrugged it off. After weeks of shrugging it off, it got a little out of hand, so I went on the app and noticed that the banking service was on the app, that over $560 USED TO BE in it, and that almost every penny was spent on some Google services! I was so shocked and very confused, someone had hacked into my account and changed everything while getting money out of me. I immediately contacted Kikoff's customer service and disputed everything to get my money back, they told me it could take up to TWO MONTHS to get everything processed and back to me, I couldn't do anything further so I just took that as an answer. Thankfully it only took a week and got all my money back, however, I was never notified that it was all done for and squared away. After realizing my Kikoff was hacked into I changed all my information back and changed my password and a new card was sent to me, even though I told them I didn't want it. Going on to Kikoff to see if the funds were back in the account yet, I saw that whoever hacked into my account was somehow spending my money AGAIN! Even though I changed my password and the first card was canceled. So I had to call a second time and dispute even more charges but had to wait because they were still processing, they canceled the second card and I changed my password for a second time. I added my bank account again really quickly to transfer the rest of what was in there and took my account back off of there so they would stop spending my money. A few days go by and got a notification that my Chase account was $300 in the negative, and it turned out to be Kikoff, they were trying to transfer the money back into Kikoff! Mind you I've been on a wild goose chase with Kikoff, I'm currently 5 phone calls in deep, having the same crap happen over and over again because at this point I've changed my password 5 times and canceled 4 cards and it is still happening to me. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be happening? Or what I can do about this? I'd close Kikoff as a whole but that would take a negative toll on my credit and I really don't want to do that. I want to just close the banking service but I can't do that until all pending charges and disputes are processed which can take up to two months, and within that time period they are just going to keep finding ways into my account. I terminated my vianet connection a few months ago. Around 2 weeks ago they called me and told me to give them the router / nettv stb and i will be given a refund. They asked me if I would come to the office or they should come to my home to take it from me and I asked them to come take it. The guy came , took my devices and asked me to send the bank details in his viber number. A few days later I got a text from vianet and they sent me a link to put my bank details in for the refund. It has been around 5 days since that and I have not heard anything from them or received my money. I texted their fb page a few times and all they say is we will contact you. I'd probably let it slide but the absolute shit customer service I got from them after being a customer for 3 years does not make me want to. Anyone faced similar issues with them?

2023.06.08 09:14 useless_misfit [SC] Started a new part-time job two weeks ago. Today was pay day, and I did not get paid like I was supposed to. Found out that the SM "forgot" to fill out the bottom part of my I-9 form. Due to this I was not paid. I have some questions.
I started a new part-time job on December 17th. Today was a pay day, and surprise, surprise, I didn't get paid.
Texted the store manager and his response was "oh, I guess I need to call and see why your numbers haven't dropped yet. I'll fix it today. I will have to look for the number later so I can call and see what's going on, I don't have it saved in my phone for some reason."
I immediately got suspicious and called the payroll department. They can't find me in the system. They three way the onboarding department. She says the store manager never completed the bottom part of my I-9 form like he was supposed to. I ask if I'm even allowed to go into work today with my I-9 not being completed and let them know I want to be paid for what I worked. They tell me to reach out to my store manager and get him to complete the form and that it will take up to 2 business days to process through. I ask again if I can go into work today. I get the run around. I repeated it once again. They finally said I can't go in until the form is completed.
I proceeded to text the store manager this information. He panics and calls me. He obviously didn't expect I would give HR a call. He claims he's a "dumbass" and forgot, but he will fill it out right now. I tell him that I was advised by HR to not work until it's processed through. He says it doesn't matter what HR says, that I can come in anyway. I tell him I will call him back.
Call HR AGAIN and tell them what he's said to me. I say CAN I GO TO WORK. This time they will not answer my question. They advise me to reach out to the DM. I ask for the number but am told they "don't know it." I do my own research and find the number. I speak with the DM and explain the situation. I let her know that I haven't been paid, I'm not even processed through, I haven't been punching the time clock, that the SM is telling me to come in anyway regardless of what HR is saying, and that I want to get paid for my time. I can tell she's taken aback and doesn't know how to answer my questions or what I need to do. She finally reaches out to the SM then calls me back and says they agreed it's best I don't come into work today and that they will out of cycle pay me.

A bit of background about me: I am a 21 year old male and currently live in europe. I have only ever had 2 dates so far but both did not end well. And this is the first time i am genuinely interested in a girl and have experienced lovesickness
What happend in the past: I had a crush on this same girl in school about 4 years ago but due to me being very anxious shy and insecure I was not able to confess to her and felt bad ever since but got over it at some point during these 4 years. (Thought about her a few times but nothing serious came out of it) I dont have any social media like insta/snapchat so my only way to contact her would be to get her phone number or Discord.
Skip to the present: My friend invited me to go to an anime convention with him and he also invited the girl in question. We finally meet after 4 years and had a blast talking abour our time in school as well as the present and exchanged phone numbers. I got my hopes up again and after a lot of thinking i wrote her a message the next day asking if she would like to hang out, her answer was "yes i would like to hang out with you🥰 " (<-- is there any meaning behind this emoji?) I was so overjoyed in that moment that i could not think straight the next few hours. A bit of background about me: I am a 21 year old male and currently live in europe. I have only ever had 2 dates so far but both did not end well. And this is the first time i am genuinely interested in a girl and have experienced lovesickness
What happend in the past: I had a crush on this same girl in school about 4 years ago but due to me being very anxious shy and insecure I was not able to confess to her and felt bad ever since but got over it at some point during these 4 years. (Thought about her a few times but nothing serious came out of it) I dont have any social media like insta/snapchat so my only way to contact her would be to get her phone number or Discord.
Skip to the present: My friend invited me to go to an anime convention with him and he also invited the girl in question. We finally meet after 4 years and had a blast talking abour our time in school as well as the present and exchanged phone numbers. I got my hopes up again and after a lot of thinking i wrote her a message the next day asking if she would like to hang out, her answer was "yes i would like to hang out with you🥰 " (<-- is there any meaning behind this emoji?) I was so overjoyed in that moment that i could not think straight the next few hours. We did not make any specific plans that day as i wanted to confirm if she is even interested in meeting up. 2 Days later, i wrote her again and asked if she wants to talk on Discord or on the phone to make specific plans for our "date" but she replied: "Sorry I dont have time today 😅, i am very busy at the moment as my final exams are coming up in 4 weeks so its hard to make time 😕" I replied to her that I totally understand that and asked her to get back to me when she has free time. She responded with "I will do that 😊" For context this whole thing happend over the span of 1 week so we have exchanged maybe 10 texts overall since meeting that weekend. Her answers/replies were pretty fast so maybe thats a good sign? I talked with a lot of people over the last few days as i was feeling pretty lovesick (Lack of sleep, overthinking, and so on) and wanted some more opinions from you people
So here are my questions/problems
Does this seem like a genuine excuse to you guys or is she just not interested and played the nice woman as to not hurt my feelings to much?

I know me being uncomfortable is due to my past experiences but still wanted to guage if this is an appropriate protocol. I understand having peoples numbers but can't see a situation in which they would need my address that they could not individual ask me for.

There's a mix of things I'm dealing with and I'm not sure what to do about any of it. I'm not even sure where to start explaining my situation. Sorry in advanced if it occasionally derails, because there's a ridiculous amount of things to summarize and skim through.
In January 2023, I (27F) moved by myself, halfway across the country, to Texas to escape semi-unethical living conditions with my family (threatening to force religious conversion onto me, not supporting me in getting mental health treatment for autism/trauma/etc. Generally a toxic living environment, despite "wanting the best" for me). A "friend" (22M) offered to take me in, else I would've been homeless, perhaps even dead due to the winter storms.
We met online via discord in May 2022, and he quickly charmed me by telling me how he wanted to learn about others' perspectives, so he could grow and better himself as a person. Long story short, he was a convincing liar and a terrifying abuser.
I don't think I have enough significant physical evidence of his abuse; aside from a single recording of an argument we had (out of several dozens that happened throughout the months), photographs of small scars on my hands (from the unethical job he set me up with), and symptoms of trauma/PTSD that I can't even officially confirm yet (despite the fact that the anxiety tied with my traumas are debilitating enough to keep me unemployed for over a month now). There's also a number of my other friends (both online and not) who witnessed me defending him (a classic sign that gaslighting and abuse was happening), but I don't think that carries any legal weight.
In April of 2023 I moved out, into a better and much healthiehappier living situation. 2-3 weeks afterwards, I quit the toxic job and completely blocked my abuser. Prior to the cut-off and after moving out, he had lectured and threatened me over taking tupperware that I accidentally bought duplicates of (he hardly used them anyway, as he did delivery for almost all of his meals, and even refused to refridgerate leftovers, so it didn't make sense that he'd even want to keep my tupperware). Upon cutting him off, he tried to follow through on another threat, that involved trash-talking me and "exposing the truth about me" in hopes that people he knew I liked would instantly drop me. "Because friendships are fickle like that". It obviously didn't work.
Anyway, I digress. I don't know if I have enough legal leverage (or lawyer funds for that matter) to press charges for the abusive matters. I don't know about that process at all and what results would come of it. However, when we were still "friends", he admitted to me (via spoken word, nothing written as far as I remember) that he paid someone on the dark web for illegal and exploitative content, supposedly because he was bullied online and consequently convinced he might actually like it. He hated it, supposedly. I don't know now if it's the truth or not, due to how much he lied and went behind my back before. He did still engage with the illegal activity, which is grounds enough to report him, right?
I'm very scared to report this, however. I'm weighing some of the odds, due to my lack of knowledge of the matter. I also understand that I have responsibility as a victim and as a witness, but not everything works out IRL as it does on paper. I have his exact information (full name, address, phone number, current employment, even a vague memory of what car he drives) that will all be valid until July.
If I somehow report a tip on the illegal content he obtained, anonymously or not, there's a chance he'll know I'm the one who reported him. He doesn't know where I live, so while I'm not 100% in physical danger, he's highly intelligent and will do everything he can to track me and inflict harm on me (he talked about murderous ideations with me before in a joking matter, even after I told him I was very uncomfortable with it). We live relatively close to each other, so there's still some degree of risk. It also puts the people I'm currently living with at risk, and I don't want anything to happen to them because I'm trying to do the right thing.
The best case scenario is that upon reporting him, he ends up in prison. No harm done to me, anyone in the future, or to those that have helped me escape him. Worst case scenario, he manages to convince law enforecement that he's innocent, and he comes after my life. Another "worst case" scenario is that he WAS being honest about hating the illegal content, which would've been deleted prior to a potential search & seizure. I'd potentially be in trouble if there turns out to be no evidence for my claim, which terrifies me in its own right, because I have no family willing to bail me out if I'm the one who's locked up instead. I could also get locked up because I "waited" so long to report it, so there's a chance that I could legally be seen as an "accomplice" for not reporting it immediately.
I want to be done with the trauma he has caused me. But as much as I want to prevent him from harming other people in the future, I also don't wanna be "petty" and "go back" to do something "bad", seemingly just to "get revenge and ruin his life" or whatever. If anything, I'd prefer he get intensive correctional treatment for his malice and twisted mentality, rather than just to "rot". I want justice served and for people to be protected, but I'm also terrified of the very likely idea that I could get hurt by attempting something in the wrong way.
What would be my best move here? What evidence would I need, should I choose to report him for something? Should I even do it, or do I not have enough qualifying evidence or leverage? Will I get in trouble if my abuser manages to cover his tracks well enough? Or am I actually being petty with all of this and need to learn to let the past go?
My plan for now is, if I go take action, to download all logs from our discord DMs (for evidence of threats), along with organizing any audio and photographic evidence of what happened while living with him. That way, I have everything ready to submit stored in one place. If there's anything else I can do, I'd greatly appreciate the advice.

I've spent most of time these past few months getting the mountains of forms and documents in order, and now quite literally all I have left to do (here) is go to the consulate to apply for a visa. As a result, it's only just now set in that I'm sending myself to a foreign country, where I sort of speak the language, and don't know a soul, for a year. (Granted, that's just the term used in the application, it's more like four months in, two month break, and four months again, but the point stands.)
I'm unbelievably excited, don't get me wrong, and I'm not that worried about being lonely since I'll be living in an international dorm hall, but I still feel like there's a lot of uncertainty, and it makes me anxious.
Aside from the usual, "Keep studying the language," "Try to make friends," "Keep in touch with people back home," "Go to Itaewon if you get too homesick," "Do NOT forget to get an ARC (or is it a residence card now?)" etc, any advice for a first-time living abroad?
Quick 'things I already know' list:
- Towels are small there
- Deoderant is hard to find, not a concern, I can bring deoderant, and hand sanitizer is a good back-up
- Respect your elders, I lived in Hawaii, though it's different there I do think I get the jist of that
- Don't be noisy, shouldn't be an issue, people here can barely here me, it might be a nice change to be the loud one
- Keep the gay on the down low
- Sizing is different, may be an issue for my hips but I've bought a few things abroad before, the top part of my body generally fits a medium there well
- I will stand out like a sore thumb
- There will be more city than I am used to
- Fruit is expensive
- Tipping culture is an American concept and I do not need to do that anywhere but here
Things I am a bit curious about but not sure who to ask:
- How does public transport work on a day to day basis?
- What's the preferred payment method in most places? I don't know how accessible ATMs will be, so if I need to keep a lot of cash on hand I'll want to figure that out before getting there.
- A few things on my application have mentioned having a 'Korean phone number,' is that something I need to look into? I have kakaotalk, and I'm planning to switch from using texts to facebook messenger (for family,) instagram (for some friends,) and discord (for other friends) as my main forms of communication, but will there be a real need to somehow get a korean phone/phone number?
- Is there a good way to practice the accent? For the Seoul area, specifically. I know that in my personal experience, I can understand foreigners better if they have a more American accent, even if there grammavocabulary isn't great, so I want to have be able to learn that. Most resources focus on grammar and vocabulary, which is obviously important, but they don't put much emphasis on accent.

For the 4th time in as many months, I was texting my husband all day - getting no replies.
Today though, our toddler son was pretty sick, and I was exhausted, frustrated, and REALLY in need of some help - hoping desperately that he could come home early if possible. In between HOURS of changing and bathing our kid and doing many bedding changes & load after load of laundry - I barely eaked out a dozen desperate texts about my desperate situation- and yet he never replied to any of them
I thought "geeze, if he's not even answering these messages, he really has to be buried in issues at work or today he's working in someplace like a bank vault where he's not allowed to have his phone".
As the hours passed without any reply - I began to worry that HE was okay.
When he finally DID text me at 830pm just to say he was on his way home- I was pretty aggravated that it was the first id heard from him...
And then at 9pm when he finally called me while I was in the middle of wrangling the upset baby (which id JUST explained to him via text)... the first words out of his mouth were - "you could have AT LEAST answered my text".
You can only imagine MY anger since not only had I replied to him immediately HE had not answered a single one of MY messages all damn day! The nerve!
It was during this call that we realized that he wasn't actually getting ANY of my texts. So instead of being pissed at HIM.... Now I'm looking at YOU, T-Mobile.
Wanna know why?
Because thisis the FOURTH DAMN TIME T-Mobile has shut off my ability to send texts.
They give no warning - and absolutely ZERO notice - they just shut off your text messaging ability and yet on my phone- it would appear as if they are sending and being recieved perfectly fine.
This is UNACCEPTABLE. Its downright DANGEROUS - People text 911 and in many other desperate and dangerous situations to get help. Many deaf people rely ENTIRELY on texting because they can't MAKE regular phone calls.
SEVERAL times during these "shut downs", I have lost opportunities to make money - I've upset and angered friends - and I've lost the trust of people I was buying or selling things from - resulting in those deals falling apart all because SUDDENLY I've dropped off the face of the earth and didn't answer thier messages for days on end... All while I WAS answering them back and they were ignoring me.... because they WEREN'T GETTING MY TEXTS.
It isn't until I've physically stood beside the person and we compared phone screens - that I was able to PROVE I had been answering them.
This has caused COUNTLESS problems with the club I run, the classes I teach, my kids and thier friends- and my own friends and family.
It's cost me money, caused me HOURS and sometimes DAYS of anger and frustration - all because T-Mobile has decided that I SEND TOO MANY TEXTS or that I text my friends in ways they don't like.
I DEMANDED answers the first time this happened.
I was told they "don't know the number of texts you can send before they shut down your messages". I was told they couldn't find out and no one really knew. I was told that once a customer get accused of "spamming" by thier magical algorithms; they just shut you off and don't say a damn word.
I was told that including a link in my text messages (like when i sent a link to my fellow club members about a discounted Lego set!)
OR when I announced to a few dozen friends that my classes were starting back up - that it must have been "too many texts" and triggered the "rate limit" and that they couldn't take the block off for 72 hours.
On tonight's complaint call - with a woman from India who proceeded to read a script - over and over telling me HOW MUCH SHE CARES that i couldn't text my husband about my sick baby - and HOW IMPORTANT IT IS that my messages go through when i text my club members.... I told her to STOP with the script and the "empathy" and just get me an answer on EXACTLY how many texts I can send before they shut down my phone.
I sent just 42 text messages to individuals yesterday - all people that i know personally - and in doing so - I manually changed up EVERY SINGLE TEXT so that the content of the messages were personalized, contained each person's name and did NOT include the same wording over and over. It took two and a half hours for something i could have sent in two minutes.
I only sent links to an event on my Google calendar to those club members who hadn't yet RSVP'd.
The only other texts I sent all day were to my own family members .... And I sent ONE group text to the 46 people in my club - broken down into three groups, so three of the same message went out within a minute. I have no idea if ANY of those texts went through.
I was told that TMobile had ONCE AGAIN flagged me as sending spam and had shut off my ability to text for 72+ hours.
For the FOURTH DAMN TIME, I was told that it could take upwards of 24-72 hours to reinstate my text messaging..I was also, LAUGHABLY, told to contact my club members, friends- and family - and asked to have them all download a special third party app to message me. Like "whatsap" or something.
When I asked the INCREDIBLY annoying tech support woman how i was supposed to send ANY MESSAGE to all of those people- after all - isn't that EXACTLY what they had banned me from texting for doing?! Plus, without the ability to send texts- am I supposed to call my hundreds of phone contacts and explain the situation over and over and over to each one, asking them to please install a special messages app JUST TO TALK TO ME?
Finally tonight, the tech told me "unlimited messaging is limited to 300 messages per day, and any more than that will shut down your service by triggering a spam block." Even if you text the same person over and over with different messages- if you're talking to them THAT MUCH, T-Mobile calls it SPAM AND DISABLES YOUR TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE.
So you've heard it here folks - we pay for "unlimited data and text messaging" and T-Mobile's explanation of "unlimited" is;
I had Verizon and then Sprint for over 14 years. Some days, id send out over a thousand texts, about the Christmas charity that i run - letting people know we were starting up our collection for the year. NEVER EVER- Not even once - did they EVER restrict my texts.
I've only had TMobile since they bought out Sprint (after SWEARING id never ever go back to them, when they destroyed the Sidekick phones & lost ALL of my company's contacts and data back in 2010!)- and it's been nothing but PURE HELL and CONSTANT ISSUES ever since.
I hate you, TMobile. More than I've ever hated any company in existence.

When he finally DID text me at 830pm just to say he was on his way home- I was pretty aggravated that it was the first id heard from him...
And then at 9pm when he finally called me while I was in the middle of wrangling the upset baby (which id JUST explained to him via text)... the first words out of his mouth were - "you could have AT LEAST answered my text".
You can only imagine MY anger since not only had I replied to him immediately HE had not answered a single one of MY messages all damn day! The nerve!
It was during this call that we realized that he wasn't actually getting ANY of my texts. So instead of being pissed at HIM.... Now I'm looking at YOU, T-Mobile.
Wanna know why?
Because thisis the FOURTH DAMN TIME T-Mobile has shut off my ability to send texts.
They give no warning - and absolutely ZERO notice - they just shut off your text messaging ability and yet on my phone- it would appear as if they are sending and being recieved perfectly fine.
This is UNACCEPTABLE. Its downright DANGEROUS - People text 911 and in many other desperate and dangerous situations to get help. Many deaf people rely ENTIRELY on texting because they can't MAKE regular phone calls.
SEVERAL times during these "shut downs", I have lost opportunities to make money - I've upset and angered friends - and I've lost the trust of people I was buying or selling things from - resulting in those deals falling apart all because SUDDENLY I've dropped off the face of the earth and didn't answer thier messages for days on end... All while I WAS answering them back and they were ignoring me.... because they WEREN'T GETTING MY TEXTS.
It isn't until I've physically stood beside the person and we compared phone screens - that I was able to PROVE I had been answering them.
This has caused COUNTLESS problems with the club I run, the classes I teach, my kids and thier friends- and my own friends and family.
It's cost me money, caused me HOURS and sometimes DAYS of anger and frustration - all because T-Mobile has decided that I SEND TOO MANY TEXTS or that I text my friends in ways they don't like.
I DEMANDED answers the first time this happened.
I was told they "don't know the number of texts you can send before they shut down your messages". I was told they couldn't find out and no one really knew. I was told that once a customer get accused of "spamming" by thier magical algorithms; they just shut you off and don't say a damn word.
I was told that including a link in my text messages (like when i sent a link to my fellow club members about a discounted Lego set!)
OR when I announced to a few dozen friends that my classes were starting back up - that it must have been "too many texts" and triggered the "rate limit" and that they couldn't take the block off for 72 hours.
On tonight's complaint call - with a woman from India who proceeded to read a script - over and over telling me HOW MUCH SHE CARES that i couldn't text my husband about my sick baby - and HOW IMPORTANT IT IS that my messages go through when i text my club members.... I told her to STOP with the script and the "empathy" and just get me an answer on EXACTLY how many texts I can send before they shut down my phone.
I sent just 42 text messages to individuals yesterday - all people that i know personally - and in doing so - I manually changed up EVERY SINGLE TEXT so that the content of the messages were personalized, contained each person's name and did NOT include the same wording over and over. It took two and a half hours for something i could have sent in two minutes.
I only sent links to an event on my Google calendar to those club members who hadn't yet RSVP'd.
The only other texts I sent all day were to my own family members .... And I sent ONE group text to the 46 people in my club - broken down into three groups, so three of the same message went out within a minute. I have no idea if ANY of those texts went through.
I was told that TMobile had ONCE AGAIN flagged me as sending spam and had shut off my ability to text for 72+ hours.
For the FOURTH DAMN TIME, I was told that it could take upwards of 24-72 hours to reinstate my text messaging..I was also, LAUGHABLY, told to contact my club members, friends- and family - and asked to have them all download a special third party app to message me. Like "whatsap" or something.
When I asked the INCREDIBLY annoying tech support woman how i was supposed to send ANY MESSAGE to all of those people- after all - isn't that EXACTLY what they had banned me from texting for doing?! Plus, without the ability to send texts- am I supposed to call my hundreds of phone contacts and explain the situation over and over and over to each one, asking them to please install a special messages app JUST TO TALK TO ME?
Finally tonight, the tech told me "unlimited messaging is limited to 300 messages per day, and any more than that will shut down your service by triggering a spam block." Even if you text the same person over and over with different messages- if you're talking to them THAT MUCH, T-Mobile calls it SPAM AND DISABLES YOUR TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE.
So you've heard it here folks - we pay for "unlimited data and text messaging" and T-Mobile's explanation of "unlimited" is;
- no more than 300 total texts.
- no photos or links can be sent to groups or multiple individuals
- you must personally and individually text everyone you know, even if you need to send the exact same message to multiple people like "Thanksgiving dinner is at 3pm at Grandma's this year"- that's enough to trigger them SHUTTING YOU DOWN.
I had Verizon and then Sprint for over 14 years. Some days, id send out over a thousand texts, about the Christmas charity that i run - letting people know we were starting up our collection for the year. NEVER EVER- Not even once - did they EVER restrict my texts.
I've only had TMobile since they bought out Sprint (after SWEARING id never ever go back to them, when they destroyed the Sidekick phones & lost ALL of my company's contacts and data back in 2010!)- and it's been nothing but PURE HELL and CONSTANT ISSUES ever since.
I hate you, TMobile. More than I've ever hated any company in existence.
