Hey guys, long post incoming, so if you read the whole thing, thank you so much❤️
Ok, so daughter just turned 3, and since she aged out of Early Intervention, we had the option to enroll her in our town’s public preschool (for 3 & 4 year olds). This preschool is integrated, meaning half the kiddos in class are “peer models” (no developmental delays/diagnoses) and half the kiddos in class are on IEPs (any kiddo with a developmental, learning, and/or physical disability).
Just some background on my daughter first:
She was diagnosed with level 1 ASD when she was 2.5. While the diagnosis wasn’t a complete and utter shock, we were still a little surprised, as were her EI team and speech therapist. Maybe she was misdiagnosed, maybe she just doesn’t present as “typically” ASD; either way, it didn’t really matter because the additional services available to her now can only help.
We decided that ABA wasn’t for us, in part for all the reasons discussed on this subreddit, and because we hadn’t noticed any behavioral issues BEYOND her just being a toddler, that would warrant ABA. Daughter’s main struggle is her speech delay (which has improved substantially with EI and speech therapy). She does not have any sensory issues. We decided to do OT a couple months ago, mainly just because it “was there and why not” and by week 7 of 1x per week appointments, her OT said she felt as though she does not need it any more/ would not benefit from continuing.
Also worth mentioning: she has been home full-time with mum since she was born, no daycare. The only thing close to that was her EI playgroup 1x per week for 2.5 hours. She did that playgroup for 6 months until she turned 3.
Ok, so now on to our issues:
She started preschool 2 weeks ago. We decided to have her go 4 days per week, 6 hours per day. Between her being sick and having the 1 day a week where she is home, up until today she’s only attended 7 full days. During the initial IEP meeting, we asked if we could do half the week as half days (2 hours/per day) and the remainder of the week as full days (6 hours/per day). We got push-back from the special ed director on this - she said it “wasn’t ideal” to have her days jumbled like that, and that they were recommending she do full days, 5x per week. (Daughter’s Neurologist also recommended in the diagnosis/report, that daughter should be in a full-time preschool program) Ok, fine. We settled on 4 days per week, with 30 minutes per week of speech therapy, and the rest of the time she would just be in the classroom with her peers, as the social interaction (in addition to her speech therapy) were the main goals on her IEP. Her IEP also stated that she would have 1:1 time (in class) with a paraprofessional as needed.
Daughter has been fussy at drop-off in the mornings, but but according to her teacher, she does just fine once she’s in the classroom. I even had an in-person meeting with her teacher last week (it just so happened to be the week of parent-teacher conferences) and teacher indicated that although daughter was a little overly clingy/cuddly, she was a joy to have in class, and was doing “just fine.”
As mentioned earlier, daughter has been fighting off a cold the past week, so she’s been fussier than normal. Her teacher knew that she wasn’t feeling well, which is why we kept her home for several days. We got a call from her teacher two nights ago, saying that daughter was having a really hard time, was very teary during the day, especially after lunch, and that she was recommending that daughter start doing only half days for the remainder of the school year. Um, what??? So after only seven full days in a new preschool, you’re recommending that we completely change her IEP, and have her go for two hours per day for the remainder of the year? Even though this is a preschool specifically meant for children with IEP‘s, and which is taught by special education professionals? And instead of scheduling an official IEP meeting to discuss these issues, you call us at 9 PM on a school night to ask if we can start her on only half days?
Does this sound bizarre??? Am I overreacting? Do you think that this is completely unacceptable? Do I need legal counsel?

We're from out of town trying to find a home in the NY capital region. Yesterday we drove up (3.5h drive) to see a specific house. When we were 1h out we get a call from our agent saying the house just went under contract.
We were pissed to say the least. I'd taken half a day off, we were driving that distance, etc. Houses have been going so freaking fast lately.
Our agent set us up with a different house. One we'd had our eye on but we didn't visit for several reasons. Well... Turns out it's a great house. We put in an offer 14k under and they accepted!!

2023.03.30 16:09 LucilleOfMoonlight After getting a new GPU, my computer shuts off(?) after playing certain games
A while back I was gifted a pre-built to replace my broken laptop, I have the exact product on a link but I don't know if it would break rule 5, so I'll just list the specs:
It worked perfectly fine with zero issues, I even upgraded the ram to 32GB Corsair sticks. I never had any issues of any sort. Recently, however, I upgraded the GPU to an ASUS Dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB. It works great, but every now and then or after a longer gaming session, something weird happens.
Both of my monitors shut off, but all of the lights inside of the PC stay on. I can't tell what's going on beyond this, if its closing things or not. Whenever this happens, all I have to do is hold the power button to make it turn off, then turn it back on. After this everything goes back to 100% normal.
It has happened 3 times so far, and each game I'm about to list I used the GeForce Experience "optimize" feature on:
Any recommendations/help/ways to possibly troubleshoot this would be super appreciated!

- Metro Exodus: Playing the game pretty normally, something to note is that the level I was in had a lot of foliage to load in.
- Ghost Recon Wildlands: Nothing special here, after ~1 hour of playing it did its thing
- Monster Hunter World: Played fine for 2-3 hours, but once i closed the game it did the thing
Any recommendations/help/ways to possibly troubleshoot this would be super appreciated!

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3DHdNP So while building this I had the psu die on me then the cpu died and I replaced both under warranty. Now the psu is dead again. It died right after I installed windows. I turned it off and then it never turned back on. I’m inclined to think maybe I have a bad psu for the build or one of my parts is taking more energy that I thought, but I truly know nothing about computers, I just thought this would be cool. Anyone know what went wrong? Should I get a different psu?

This really gets me pissed. Our policy is very strict about this for privacy and safety reasons. Nobody delivering food is allowed to go up to a guest’s room to deliver it. The guest either has to meet them at the door, the driver will leave it at the desk for them, or the driver will wait in the lobby until the guest comes down to get it. It’s not an unreasonable request. I even call up to the rooms and tell them their order is there.
It goes hand in hand with our other security policies. We won’t recode or provide a new keycard for a room (like if someone locked themselves out) until they can provide both the room number and the full name on the room. We won’t forward phone calls to any room unless they can tell us the room number and full name of the guest. We don’t give instructions to any visitors looking for someone’s room until we are either informed of them prior to their arrival or we get verbal permission from the guest. We aren’t allowed to say someone’s room number aloud, and we can’t tell people the room number of other guests- even family members.
Maybe it sounds unnecessarily strict to outsiders, but people stay at hotels for all kinds of reasons. Separating from their partner and need a place to stay, escaping from a domestic violence type of situation, getting away from stalkers or harassment, getting their kids to a safe place, etc. Allowing anyone to go up to the rooms without any prior information being obtained is just foolhardy and dangerous.
So, back to this story, this guy, let’s call him Joe, calls to the front desk and asks me about our policy with delivery drivers. That’s not unusual. I explain that the drivers aren’t allowed to go to guests’ rooms. He says okay and hangs up.
Twenty minutes later, someone walks in quickly. I go out to the desk to greet them, but they’re already heading for the elevator. Because I didn’t immediately recognize him, I said, “excuse me, are you a guest here? Do you have a room?”
He turns and says, “yes, I checked in yesterday.”
Oh, okay. If I haven’t worked in a few days, no doubt there are people there that I haven’t met yet. Sometimes I mistakenly ask if someone is checking in when they already have a room. That’s not unusual, either.
A couple minutes later, that guy comes back down and walks out the front door, sans the food he’d brought in with him. His friend pulled the car up to the front door to pick him up, and they left.
I only made the connection then, when he came back downstairs and left. And I was infuriated. Joe had called the desk and asked about our delivery policy for the sole purpose of telling his driver how to circumvent it. He told the driver to impersonate a guest. He told this guy to lie to the front desk just so poor Joe wouldn’t have to walk ten feet to the elevator and face the indignity of going to the lobby to pick up his fucking food. Get off your ass and come get it yourself. It’s not like we make people walk a million stairs. There are elevators. I mean, come on.
Joe seriously told a stranger to impersonate a guest and park his car in the lot instead of outside the front doors- he seriously compromised the security of the entire hotel- just so he didn’t have to walk to the elevator and grab it himself.
People get so butthurt about this. I’ve had guests yell and hang up on me because I tell them their driver can’t go to their room. Dude. It’s not a big fucking deal? Definitely not worth screaming about. What is worth screaming about, however, is someone’s abusive ex having unfettered access to their room because they were allowed to go upstairs themselves. It’s a policy to protect everyone.
I used to call the rooms and say, “your order is here in the lobby, whenever you’re ready to come get it.”
I’ve switched to saying, “your order is here in the lobby. You can come downstairs to get it when you’re ready.” And then ending the call. I’ve heard less arguing saying it this way. It’s no longer an open ended question or a suggestion. Come down and get your food in the lobby, \click\ and they’ll have to either come down or just not get their food.
Of course, it’s not a perfect solution. I still have to stop delivery drivers and deal with disgruntled guests. But it’s better since I’ve started doing that.
If you circumvent hotel policies meant to keep the entire hotel safe just to get your fucking egg roll one minute quicker, you’re a selfish ass.
Don’t do that. Don’t be a Joe.

2023.03.30 16:08 Definitely_Not_Riley Vive 2.0 body trackers suddenly having tracking issues
Recently, my Vive body trackers have started having horrible tracking issues and have become unusable. This is a ew development as they have worked fine for years. Now suddenly all 3 of them refuse to track properly, and glitch out, fly off in the distance, and lose tracking entirely. nothing has changed in my setup at all. Other VR devices (Vive headset and Index controllers) track 100% perfectly with no issues, so it isn't a base station issue as far as I can tell. Things I've tried to remedy the problem include:
-Moved base stations to different parts of the room. -Tried every usb port on my PC, as well as put them on an extension away from the back of my PC. -Cleared all Steam VR data and reinstalled Stem VR entirely. -Un-paired and re-paired all trackers -Used base stations both with and without sync cable -Tried syncing playspace with Quest 2 to remove possible interference with Vive headset -Unplugged usb dongle for wireless mouse and turned mouse off to avoid bluetooth interference -Removed the only reflective poster frame in the room -Turned off all led lights in the room
I'm at a loss of what could be causing this and what further steps I can even take to try and fix this as this started happening out of nowhere, and I've tried everything I can think of. Any help is appreciated.

- Failed Chainsaw 2+ roll (Chainsaw 'Kick Back") doesn't add the +3 modifier on the armour roll against the player controlling the Chainsaw :it should add the +3.
- Failed Chainsaw Foul 2+ roll doesn't trigger any armour roll at all (the player controlling the chainsaw is just prone automatically) :it should trigger an armour roll ,and again, with a +3 modifier.
- Quick-snap kick-off event can make you lost your entire turn. For example, if you move your player under the ball and he fails its catch roll :After this failed catch, your turn is supposed to start, not end.
- Changing weather with perfect condition is supposed to make the ball scatter (D8, 3 times) :in bb3, it doesn't, the ball just bounces.
- You can lose Dedicated Fans after a tie game :no Dedicated Fans roll is supposed to happen after a tie game.

So i got a '88 mr2 and also got me some cool old enkei mesh wheels off of marketplace. They're size 14 and 7 inches wide. I dont know a lot about wheels but i know the bolt patterns are different so I ordered some adapters. But does anyone have these size wheels or similar on their aw11 mr2 and does it have enough clearance for the front when turning? I wanna make sure these wheels won't rub on the front of the car.

I’m looking for perspectives here in case I’m locking into a negative spiral. My fiancé and I have been together for about 9 months. We are engaged because I got accidentally pregnant three months into dating and we both wanted to have this baby together.
From the get go, there have been trust issues that we have been working through due to infidelity on his part in his last LTR. He had been in a 7 year LTR that had turned into a dead bedroom and in that last year decided to take matters into his own hands and seek sex on the side. He spent a good chunk of last year getting happy ending massages, then escorts, and finally an intense fling off Feeld with a 26 year old bipolar chick who didn’t want to have sex with him so she ended up cheating on him, too. Around the tail end of the Feeld chick fiasco I matched with him on Bumble
I know you’re probably like whyyy go through!?? But in my defense, he didn’t disclose all of this at once, and some of the most relevant details surfaced over the next couple of months.
OK cue coworker: during the time he was splitting up with the LTR he started turning to a female coworker to vent and bond over relationships, dating, and sexual experiences. By the time he met me, he even told me that if they had been in the same city he would have pursued her. When I asked him why he wasn’t now, he said that he also thought they wouldn’t work in the long term (she is poly). Since he tells me she is only a friend now and his actions towards me were very clearly romantic, we kept dating.
Except that he would continue to share sexual details about our relationship, go to her for advice about us, and also encourage her to share her sexual experiences. I told him that this made me uncomfortable so he stopped. A few months later, I overheard a call they were having for work and the way he said goodbye to her rubbed me wrong. For lack of a better way of explaining it, it felt like the way two partners hang up on a call. I got mad again and he swore nothing was happening.
Her dad passed away and she mentioned that he could come visit her in Boston and he wanted to say yes but then ran it by me, and then seeing my negative reaction, tried to pass it off like he had made up his mind not to go all along. Said he would do this for any friend.

For 3 months, things are so achingly good. Then, this week he had to fly to the east coast for a team wide business trip and she’s there. He swears that nothing will happen because he is committed to me, but that he felt a “pull” to her and decided he won’t spend time one on one with her. I melt down, because I am 6 months pregnant with his kid, and I thought we were passed this. He tells me that essentially, I am overreacting bc nothing happened and it is natural for him to feel attracted to other people even when in an exclusive relationship and he wants to be able to be totally transparent with me.
I do not feel attraction to others while in a committed relationship enough that I have to take measures to not be tempted to cheat. I am so discouraged that he even has the emotional and sexual room to be that attracted to someone while he also professes that he loves only me and that I’m his soulmate. I’m also so angry: I’m his fiancée! I feel like this is a difference in values.
I’d welcome any insight or thoughts.

From the get go, there have been trust issues that we have been working through due to infidelity on his part in his last LTR. He had been in a 7 year LTR that had turned into a dead bedroom and in that last year decided to take matters into his own hands and seek sex on the side. He spent a good chunk of last year getting happy ending massages, then escorts, and finally an intense fling off Feeld with a 26 year old bipolar chick who didn’t want to have sex with him so she ended up cheating on him, too. Around the tail end of the Feeld chick fiasco I matched with him on Bumble
I know you’re probably like whyyy go through!?? But in my defense, he didn’t disclose all of this at once, and some of the most relevant details surfaced over the next couple of months.
OK cue coworker: during the time he was splitting up with the LTR he started turning to a female coworker to vent and bond over relationships, dating, and sexual experiences. By the time he met me, he even told me that if they had been in the same city he would have pursued her. When I asked him why he wasn’t now, he said that he also thought they wouldn’t work in the long term (she is poly). Since he tells me she is only a friend now and his actions towards me were very clearly romantic, we kept dating.
Except that he would continue to share sexual details about our relationship, go to her for advice about us, and also encourage her to share her sexual experiences. I told him that this made me uncomfortable so he stopped. A few months later, I overheard a call they were having for work and the way he said goodbye to her rubbed me wrong. For lack of a better way of explaining it, it felt like the way two partners hang up on a call. I got mad again and he swore nothing was happening.
Her dad passed away and she mentioned that he could come visit her in Boston and he wanted to say yes but then ran it by me, and then seeing my negative reaction, tried to pass it off like he had made up his mind not to go all along. Said he would do this for any friend.

She gave a small affectionate lick on his cheek. "After I bring the things he needs I'll tell you the basics of what to do."

With the new Difficulty Changes for FH5's Rally Adventure a bunch of other settings were enabled/disabled too for some reason with Hot Wheels Stunt Steering Assist potentially being one of them.
It's supposed to only affect you while you're in the HW Park but I've seen some reports of it messing with High-speed Handling outside of HW in Rally Adventure.
Unfortunately you have to travel back to Hot Wheels to be able to turn it off so that's irritating.
Worth just disabling it again so it can't cause any potential issues elsewhere and saves you from having to do it incase you want to do the HW Seasonals at some point.

tldr; Acasis TBU42 6 in 1 NVMe is fast and not too expensive, but not same form factor as mini.
I received my Mac Mini m2 Pro 16GB/1TB a few weeks ago.
Wanted both hub and an external SSD, which led me to consider various combos, especially ones that physically mate with the Mac Mini, with brands such as Satechi, Hagibis, Quiizlab. These 3 and similar combos cap SSD performance far below what TB3 or TB4 is capable of for an external SSD, which is in the vicinity of just under 3000MB/sec Write, 3000 MB/sec Read if saturating the bandwidth that Thunderbolt is willing to provide (a portion is reserved for video).
For this scenario, many suggest getting a standalone NVMe enclosure in addition to the hub, from either Acasis or Orico (two top NVMe enclosure brands). I didn't want the extra clutter of 2 eternal gadgets instead of 1. And I had concerns about power - these types of hubs can be powered entirely off the mac mini but that can lead to problems with SSD not getting enough power, and this can cause dropped connections.
So is it possible to get a faster, externally powered hub, without paying $250+ ? Yes.
I ordered Acasis 6 in 1 NVMe hub for $130 (plus I paid $20 additional for the Acasis 65W power supply): TBU42. I ordered direct from Acasis and will get it in a week (Some Acasis products available on Amazon, but NOT TBU42 currently).
For SSD I'll buy:
WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe SSD - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280 for $60. I learned that many SSDs are not perfectly compatible with either Macs or Acasis or some combination of the two but of the few which work really well and are very fast, SN770 is the most economical. The SN770 comes in max size of 2GB though ($120 currently) so if you want more than 2GB, you'll have to get something else.
SSD prices are currently in free fall so if you wait a few months or maybe even just a few weeks, The SN770 part of this may be even cheaper.
As a Mac Mini m2 Pro owner who already has ethernet port and a couple USB-A ports, I didn't need a ton of additional USB-A ports, so their combination of extra ports particularly suits my needs, as I'll be regularly charging iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch off this hub. It is NOT the same size as the mini, but for me that doesn't matter as I plan to keep my mini hidden far behind my monitor, while the TBU42 will be more accessible as I'll sometimes be swapping or detaching cables from the hub.
The only info I've seen about it from actual users were clearly tech enthusiasts on MacRumors who like to measure everything and push hardware to its limits:

I bought a pair of "C by GE" smart plugs -- and they are absolute crap. Despite being literally five feet from a nest mini they keep losing connectivity and turning them on/off form the app results in "something went wrong." I'm not willing to hard reset an effing plug every day to keep it working.
While I enjoy the taste of regret, can people suggest a three-prong smart plug or powerstrip that actually works well and is reliable with the Google Home app?

I recently just switched out my trusty qc35 ii headphones for a pair of qc45 as they were starting to break down. What I immediately noticed on the 45s is the lack of an anc off mode as well as the significantly higher white noise produced by the anc. I could get over this however as I usually keep the anc on anyways and since the white noise eventually fades into the background. What's been bothering me more is, what I can only describe as a clicking/crackling noise coming from the left ear cup. It's most noticeable when there is no audio to mask it but I can even hear it with music on low volume.
I have no idea where this noise might be coming from but I suspect it might be the anc acting up or simply noise from the internals. All I know is that my 35s don't have this issue. I haven't really found anyone with my exact issue while searching. Sure, the problem goes away if I just turn the music up but then that kind of defeats the purpose of noise cancelling in the first place. It also doesn't coincide with my use case since I often just put my headphones on without audio to tune out background noise.
Luckily the return window is still open. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could it be isolated to my specific pair or should I avoid the qc45 entirely? I'm considering just buying another pair of qc35 ii despite them having worse Bluetooth, anc, battery etc, as they worked flawlessly for so many years.

'sup, guys I've been having this issue for 2 days so far and counting. . .
everytime I start my pc on cold, I have no image and after the MOBO checks for everything the BOOT red light stays on, 1st day: I did this, unplugged the power supply for 10-20 secs and drained the mobo with the start button (worked), 2nd day: tried day 1 fix. didnt worked out, had to push restart button 5 times in order to start the pc.
OS: win 10 64 bits
MOBO: Aorus B450 pro wifi (BIOS updated 3 weeks ago because got a new CPU) (BIOS F64a)
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: Aorus RTX 3060
RAM: PNY XLR8 (x2 8gb ea)
SSD: Kingston A400 (C:) , PNY 500 GB (D:)
Also I got this new monitor 2 days ago
Asus monitor vg278qr running at 165 Hz
EDIT: PC's been working for the last 2 hours, turned it off with windows menu (shut down), let it cool for 5 mins started like a charm, this issue its only when I turn it on for the first time of the day ie: at 6 am after 8 hrs of sleep
