I work for a company that allows me to choose the hours I work and where I want to work.
I chose a schedule that allows me to work at another location on weekends in a schedule that is compatible with a weekend job that I want to keep
Managers of the headquarters where I mainly work complained that the schedule I chose left them without staff on weekends, I chose and put together a good rota for both parties and they can look for a replacement for me with the same system that allows select hours.
The work is 36-39 hours a week spread over five days. If I want it to reach 40 or more, I must work 6 days a week.
I'm surrounded at headquarters by snitching coworkers who report every mistake I make to their bosses.
I found that for this week they have taken away almost all the hours that I had there this week and this took me off guard and the cut-off date to assemble the rota has passed, they only gave me 15 hours of work for the whole week.
I sent a message complaining to one of the managers and he told me to forward it to the other managers and one of them will get back to me.
They are adding new members to the employment WhatsApp group.
I think that possibly today I will be fired or they will make things difficult for me to leave, based on the gossip of the informers that are around me. I don't know what will happen today.
I don't have any problem on the other location of the company and maybe I should ask the manager of that location to employ me so I can leave the toxic one, or maybe I should look for another job, I'm stressed.

when i was 16 i read my mom's journal that she'd left out (i know that i should not have done that and i feel extremely guilty about it and also i was a pretty immature shithead at 16 so please no comments i already have a guilt complex lmfao) and found out my dad had repeatedly cheated on her sexually and emotionally. i already did not like being around him for a myriad of reasons - he has a huge ego, he is a bad listener, he has a bad temper and has called me really hurtful shit that still sticks with me, he definitely put his career (and his affairs) before my mom and i when i was a kid, he's probably a narcissist, and my parents both definitely neglected me - and i pretty much stopped talking to him entirely even though we lived in the same house. it was fucking miserable and i hated him. when he would come home i would drop what i was doing and go to my room and lock the door. if he came into the kitchen while i was cooking i would straight up dump whatever i was making in the trash and leave. i can't fully explain why it was so intense - some mixture of unprocessed trauma and teen angst, and it was on top of depression that had been gradually worsening since i was like 9 lol - but it was. they separated and then divorced pretty soon after that and he moved out when i was about 17.
i didn't speak to him again until i was 19, and i didn't have a real "relationship" with him until i was 20ish. now he lives a state away but i see him every 2-3 months when he's in town. we get dinner or coffee and usually talk for a few hours. i also visited his new house and his new girlfriend for a weekend once. i can kind of tell that he sees this as some wonderful reconnection and redemption story. i guess it is. the problem is that i still do not like him and i still cannot stand being around him. i am absolutely exhausted emotionally and physically after being around him. in my opinion he tells me too much - he will randomly offhandedly mention the sex and porn addictions he's in therapy for, he told me all about what it was like breaking up with his ex girlfriend and why he did it and how depressed he was, he made some really fucking weird and fatphobic comments about his current girlfriend and how she "knew how to use angles" in her dating profile because she was fatter in person, he's made a few innuendos about that girlfriend, he showed me his match.com profile, etc. he's told me about how hard it was for him when i wasn't speaking with him and how his friends all told him to force me to (that year was the worst my mental health has ever been (for more reasons than just this) and i tried to kill myself, but no one knows that). some of these are things that i think might be normal to talk about with an adult child, and some of them definitely aren't, but it all feels icky and uncomfortable because of the context of our past relationship. like, you cheated on my mom, i don't want to hear shit about your dating app escapades, yknow?
when he says things that make me uncomfortable i don't say anything, partially because i don't want to rock the boat, partially because i don't want to put the time or the energy into the uncomfortable conversation that would inevitably ensue, and partially because sometimes i don't even notice i'm uncomfortable and drained until after the fact. i also find myself telling him more than i'd like to - i find myself telling him quite a bit about my job and my relationship a lot even though i don't really want him to be a part of either of those things. contrary to everything i've said so far the conversation usually comes pretty easy.
i have no idea how to set boundaries with what we can and can't talk about with him and i have no idea how he would react. there's a solid chance that he has grown and worked through some shit in therapy and would be able to hear that, and there's also a solid chance that he'd manipulate me into feeling guilty for ever challenging him. i have no idea. all i know is the last time i saw him i went into a week long mental health tailspin afterwards and i couldn't figure out why until after the fact and i don't want to do that again. it's hard because i don't like... feel abused if that makes sense. he only ever spanked me and so did my mom and it was never serious. he didn't yell much. he didn't drink or do drugs. i had no idea what was going on when i was a kid. he's helping me financially through college and remembers my birthday and offers to help when i have to move and shit. he's pretty much doing everything right on a baseline level. he has grown a lot and i can tell. and i still can't stand him and i don't know if i ever will be able to.

Hi! I’ve worked in SEM for several years, mainly at agencies, but haven’t had any experience with Clickcease and similar tools previously, only from hearsay basically.
Me and my colleague at my inhouse job kind of feel it’s our obligation to at least give a tool like this a chance. If it turns out Google for some reason underreports the no of invalid clicks, then it would be a no-brainer most likely.
Something I’m really struggling to understand is - why on earth would Google - a company heavily reliant on ad spend - for some reason vastly overcharge their customers for invalid clicks. I mean, if say 20% of your ad costs were from bot traffic, would’t that just make you want to spend even more since the ROI would improve by a lot?
I totally get if Google misses a few percent of invalid clicks, but that would’t make it worth paying for an additional tool.
From my what I’ve read at least, it sounds like Clickcease is worth it in some cases, but not in others.
What do you think? Is it worth at least giving it a try? Can also add that we run a few ecom-stores and most of our traffic goes through pmax or search.

That pressure, plus all the other stress in my life, I can't think. I just can't remember most off my life, honestly I'm probably going to the doctor but that doesn't help right now.
They were nice enough to send the questions over in advance. They are those, Tell me a time...
So I was hoping some of you can tell me how you would answer, I'm hoping that jumpstarts my brain (it usually works) if something similar happened to me. Worst case, I might have to change your story to fit me and go with it.
I don't want my babies in the same house as that man, I'm a little desperate.
It's for the DMV, I've worked insurance, financial products, transportation, retail, prepare taxes and ran a couple of offices.
Questions are:
Please tell us about a time that best illustrates when you coach someone to do something that they didn't think they could do, what was your approach?
Describe a situation when you were able to strengthen a relationship by communicating effectively. What made your communication effective?
Describe a situation when you were able to identify and diffuse a conflict with a customer before it occurred.
Describe a time when you had to ensure you were providing accurate information to customers. How did you do this?
Describe a time when great precision to detail was required to complete a project or task. How did you ensure accuracy and what was the outcome?
These are hard for me because every job requires effective communication, attention to detail, and de-escalation. I do it all the time so I can't think of a specific example, because it's just like, normal?
So if anyone has any suggestions. I'm sure I'll come up with something, I just know someone else will probably do better.

I know this question is going to come up at my interview next week and i’d prefer to be as honest as i can with potential employers.

Long story short, I went through the long process of applying for a job, doing the interview and a teaching demonstration, and then negotiating a salary and fixed starting date. Everything went well and the communications via e-mail explicitly included "job offer" in them.
Two months after we agreed to everything, I am told in writing that the search has been terminated due to an inadequate number of applicants. They may or may not run the search again in the future. I will be considered as a candidate again, if and when the search happens in the future.
Meanwhile, during the last two months, I told my letter writers the good news and was starting to plan a move to another country, only to get the carpet pulled out from under me like this. Fortunately I didn't terminate my lease agreement in anticipation of leaving.
I asked the university administration for clarification and justification about their decision, but they stood by their decision. There were no signed contracts, so legally I am not in a position to challenge them. The applicant can walk away from the job offer until the ink is dried, but, on the other hand, the university can likewise walk away. Bad behavior, but nothing I can do about it.
The lesson to take away from this: you don't have a TT job until the contract is signed and counter-signed, and all parties acknowledge the agreement. A "job offer" is immaterial until it is legally binding.

For context: My friend (f30) lives in a country which has a terrible economy, working a normal job is hardly enough to sustain yourself, she had a daughter at a very young age, the father left her not too long after having her that a**hole.. And she's been taking care of her for a long time.. Again, for context, this is a country where living with your family (parents, brothers) for the rest of your life is common because being independent is just not a thing that most people can afford with a normal job.. Salaries are a joke, i'm talking extreme poverty salaries of under 50$ a month (based on black market values).. and she's been taking care of her daughter by herself for years somehow.. She is always struggling to find a job, and when she does all she does is break her back every single day to break even and buy whatever food and pay services she can, no TV, no internet, no expenses of any sort outside of what's needed and she's still is short by a long margin by the end of the month.
I know all this is true because I lived 20 years of my life in the same country before saying goodbye to all my friends including her and moving to Europe 7 years ago because of those same reasons, I had the inmense luck to be able to process my nationality because of my grandmother and stay here, study and find a job.
She told me last night that she can't take it anymore, that she's tired and feels like she's stuck in an infinite loop, and she told me she was feeling very suicidal I quote "I don't want to keep living anymore, not like this".
I(m27) tried my best to pep talk her into feeling better, like i've done before because this has been a long time progressive thing, but today she just told me this.. Yes, i've sent her a bit of financial support sometimes but we both know she can't rely on me for that.. I myself don't make that much money so I help her only when I really can..
Also yes, i've thought about the possibility of bringing her here, it's just that I really don't have that much income to help her that way, I swear if I had the money and the space I'd buy her a plane ticket right now, But I myself been living paycheck to paycheck and I rent a very small appartment i'm not struggling but I have just enough to live in peace.. And how would she stay and find a stable job right away without papers? Marry her? I'm thinking crazy right now, I just don't know what to do and it breaks my heart, .. She's been through so much shit, and deserves so much better, she's still so young.. I want to clarify that she didn't even hint at coming here to live, these are just ideas I come up with becaues I know how bad it is there.. It' REALLY bad.. And before comming here I was feeling almost the same as her.. No future ahead, just being a slave for the rest of your life, no expectations of true happiness and peace..
I just don't know how to tackle this situation anymore, I don't know what to tell her if there's anything at all I can say.. I just don't know what to do..

Long story short I'm feeling pinpointed and cherry picked at work for the wrong reasons.
I do my job, meet my objectives, make improvements and suggestions for improvement, start earlier than the time I'm meant to and finish late. Voluntarily putting in approx 3 to 4 h more of my free time into work to finish my deliverables.
Manager goes in holidays and tells me if I go off or have to change my working hours I must inform the director. The same instruction was not given to my colleagues thar just do the strickly necessary job.
My computer keeps playing up while at work it feels like someone is in it, i, leave it locked when I go for lunch come back it is switched off. Yesterday the same kept happening- went for lunch and I have had been given access to another colleagues email account on my outlook. I've complained because I had enough and I don't want access to someone else's email suetonius confidentiality and gdpr. I know managers hack employees accounts when they suspect of their wrong doing - I've seen requests (I work in HR) that are immediately wipped by IT because the company doesn't want to keep a traceable trail so it is all done by IT and info shared orally or through drives that can be wipped off afterwards.
What should I do?

Hello, I tried searching for recommendations for neck massage on this sub but couldn't find any posts post 2020 so here goes.
Have been having recurring neck pains due to staring at a screen 8 hours a day. Would like to find a masseuse that can help alleviate neck pain in Tokyo area (I live near jiyugaoka station so anywhere closeby is fine). Have been to a few but they don't really do a good job at massaging the neck. Thanks in advance!
