In this study, we investigated the host transcriptome landscape of cardiac tissues collected at rapid autopsy from seven SARS-CoV-2, two pH1N1, and six control patients using targeted spatial transcriptomics approaches. Although SARS-CoV-2 was not detected in cardiac tissue, host transcriptomics showed upregulation of genes associated with DNA damage and repair, heat shock, and M1-like macrophage infiltration in the cardiac tissues of COVID-19 patients. The DNA damage present in the SARS-CoV-2 patient samples, were further confirmed by γ-H2Ax immunohistochemistry.
In comparison, pH1N1 showed upregulation of interferon-stimulated genes, in particular interferon and complement pathways, when compared with COVID-19 patients. These data demonstrate the emergence of distinct transcriptomic profiles in cardiac tissues of SARS-CoV-2 and pH1N1 influenza infection supporting the need for a greater understanding of the effects on extra-pulmonary organs, including the cardiovascular system of COVID-19 patients, to delineate the immunopathobiology of SARS-CoV-2 infection, and long term impact on health.

The mild but persistent non-ischemic cardiac inflammation that we describe in this study was not associated with overt structural heart disease or troponin release. Although it is triggered by a viral infection, profound myocardial injury or functional impairment is not typical, contrary to the classical definition of viral myocarditis2. Its pathophysiology is more reminiscent of findings in other chronic diffuse inflammatory syndromes that occur post-virally (for example, human immunodeficiency virus–associated cardiomyopathy)3or as a result of autoimmunity (for example, systemic lupus erythematosus4,5). In these cases, persistent subclinical cardiovascular inflammation seems to predispose people to a poor prognosis and the development of heart failure. Non-ischemic cardiac inflammatory involvement is therefore emerging as an important risk factor, and the long-term prognostic relevance of post-acute COVID-19 cardiac involvement in previously healthy people with mild initial COVID-19 illness requires further investigation.

Hello,
Me and my wife live in the basement unit and the landlord lives upstairs. We have been living here since November on a Verbal Agreement. Our rent includes utilities, wifi & parking.
Landlord wanted us to move out before this month even though we had paid our first and last and never missed the rent. We refused and he claimed it's his house and he gets to decide what goes. He then changed the wifi password and refused to provide it. A week later he asked to come downstairs to do some minor repairs. The next day he came downstairs along with his wife. His wife started shouting at me and I advised her to be respectful, the landlord in response charged towards me raising his hand and shouted what would I do about it. I asked them to leave my unit and things got heated. I got all of it on the video and called the police. We left the unit upon police officer's request. We came back after the police set them straight and then noticed the landlord had disconnected stove, washer and dryer and stopped water supply to washroom in our absence. We managed to fix all of it and then got our own wifi.
The real problems started later that evening. They started jumping, banging floor, walls and moving and dropping furniture. They've been at it since the day police came. It used to be a day thing but now it's been happening at most inappropriate times, like 11pm-12am and 3 am-4 am. We sleep with earplugs on and still wake up from the noise. I'm a truck driver by profession and I cannot be on the road without having any sleep. I called the city to complain about it but they chalked it up as residential noise, which is not against their bylaws and suggested me to take it to LTB.
I filled out a T2 form to file a complaint against them but the hearing could take 7-8 months as per their email.
Is there anything else I could do legally?

So I (13f) & my "friend"(13f) let's call her T are not on talking terms over this. T told my teacher(45f) let's call her Mrs. M that I told her to kll herself. So let's get this straight she said that during math the day before that I told her "Kll your self!" I was pulled in to the library and asked "Did you." I said no and that I didn't remember anything from the day before. Then Mrs.M pulled me in the library 5 minutes later. In there was Mrs.M and T, T was all red. Mrs.M asked her to tell me what I did. She started having a "panic attack". She didn't even say anything so Mrs.M had to tell me. Then Mrs.M told me she was going to call my mom then sent me back to my class crying. When I got home I was crying. Told my siblings and they all were pissed. My mom got home and I broke down a little kid cry and all. She was very pissed and then called my teacher. She explained that I couldn't have done. Mrs. M agreed and said there was holes in the story but didn't know I so torn up about it. To cheer me up we got ice cream and on the ride home guess who saw me T. She waved at us like a maniac. Then T tried to hang out with my sister but she ripped her a new one. I told my mom I didn't /can't go to school the next day. T acted cool the next day. Then the next week she asked why I was ignoring her I made up some lie and walked off so am I??

More than anything. I am a “gifted kid” but not gifted enough. I fit all the stereotypes, peaked in high school, mental illness, social ineptitude etc. I am good at humanities but just not good at STEM. Definition of midwit. My IQ is about 120 most likely, earlier tests say 130s but more recents say 120 but I took that test while tired and depressed so idk. Either way I’m just not good at maths, I’m in the final year of high school and am in a maths without any calculus, while all my smart friends are in advanced maths. I regret my subject choices and wish I did a science and a higher level maths. I might do a bridging course and try and do maths at uni, but I think I’m just not good enough for it. I wish I was really smart instead of linguistically gifted and just able to trick people into thinking my ideas are worth listening to.
