My original objective had been to go for a pet that was more powerful than me in order to carry me to greatness. Now it seemed that I had a pet weaker than me that needed my support to grow into something powerful. Its stats were mostly lower than mine, and it appeared that the pet didn’t have any achievements to shore up its abilities. At the very least, it looked like it wouldn’t be long before I could make the creature into something powerful. Making my friend into a scaly little artillery piece or a fearsome area denial monster sounded like a lot of fun. It was just a shame that it was going to be a long-term goal instead of something I would benefit from now. As usual, the system didn’t give me enough information. I didn’t know how to get those achievements, how to find or make those food items, or how the Growth mechanic worked. But, also as usual, I would figure it out. It might have been sampling bias, but I had adapted to all the weirdness the system had thrown at me so far. It would just take time for me to figure out this new stuff. At the very least, the creature’s abilities were very promising. Affecting DEF and DAM ratings directly was tremendously powerful with the way the damage formula worked in this system. With Howl active, I might even be able to hack through the alpha’s thick hide. Not to mention the ability to share that buff with all my friends. And if I could grow it up to the next stage, cutting enemy DEF or DAM would make them significantly less effective combatants. I felt a tickle of an urge to find new pets and see what options they would offer. Would an adult Aurochs have options for growth to develop its abilities? What abilities would it have? How about skills? Without more Stable slots, I couldn’t investigate right now. But I was excited for the possibilities. Either way, my Challenge was complete. There was a satisfying sensation as the system rewarded me for stealing my first pet from the Mandrill camp. For its part, the critter puffed up with a little bit of pride. All the uncertainty drained from its demeanor, and discomfort that I hadn’t even noticed it was feeling towards me. It might have been just my imagination—or the censer’s vapor escaping the room and letting my senses get a more accurate read—but the reptile seemed stronger and healthier now. As if becoming my pet had made it more powerful than it had been before. More than that, though, when it communicated with me, it was much clearer and more understandable. It was less of a vague series of sensations, and a lot more like speech, even if it wasn’t verbal. Power, the Baurusuchus said. Much power. Satisfying. “There’s more where that came from,” I said, taking a quick peek out of the narrowly open door towards the Mandrill town. No sign of any patrols yet, but even with the vapor thinned as it was, my Detection skill wasn’t working. “But we need to get out of here without being seen if we want to collect it.” Fish? the critter asked. I looked down in my arms to find that I was hugging the wooden case of smoked fish to my chest. I didn’t even remember picking it up. “Listen, bud, we need this,” I said quickly. “Adding you to the town’s population might be a hard sell, and having a big box of food is going to go a long way towards getting James on our side of that fight.” Not arguing, the reptile said, conveying a grin to me without actually changing its expression. Fish good. “Stay close to me on the way out,” I instructed. “This might get a little spicy.” Experimentally, I activated Hide In Plain Sight. There was a tingle as the Teamwork passive did what I hoped it would, applying the effect to the Baby Baurusuchus as well. Though to my perspective, it was a clearly-visible shaded outline, the Hide In Plain Sight effect would make it much easier to sneak out of here. A part of me wanted to make off with the censer as well as the fish. It would prove a useful tool back in Jamestown. But I simply couldn’t justify the risk. So long as the room was shrouded from Detection skills, the alpha would never know its prize was missing. I could be all the way back home before the Mandrills even knew I was here. That was worth more than a little alchemy toy. Also my hands were full of a big box of fish. Don’t judge me. There was also the matter of the jugs of Masquerade Poison. I could smuggle one or two out and still have plenty of ability to carry the fish. But I didn’t know if it would work without the censer, and it was a lot of risk to find out. There was no telling when the alpha would return. As soon as the Baurusuchus crept down the ramp, I slid the door closed behind it. I was glad the creature had Stealth skill already, so that I didn’t need to carefully instruct it to tread carefully. At the far end of the pen, the docile Aurochs barely seemed to notice us. That was a good sign. I was afraid that they might react poorly to a big toothy predator in their pen. Obviously, though, they identified that the baby reptile was not a threat to their near-impenetrable hides. I considered jumping the fence again, but discarded the idea quickly. My new pet was pretty large, meeting me at the hip with its shoulders, but it didn’t have any Climb skill, and its low-slung body would make the effort an absolute mess. The pen had a crude wooden gate to the south, though. It seemed silly now that the entrance was facing out of town. Obviously the entrance being on the north side of the pen would allow more security, making it harder to steal away with their livestock. But I’d long since recognized the purpose during past raids. Once upon a time I’d considered riling up the aurochs for a diversion once by driving them through the town on a stampede. The powerful beasts would reduce the Mandrill’s homes to matchsticks in seconds, and take hours—if not days—for the primates to control and recover. But the gate pointing out of town meant that unless I busted through the thick clay brick wall, the hard-shelled cattle would only stomp around in the woods for a little while until they blundered into one of the Mandrill farms, calming down once they ate a little. Now, though, the tables were turned. I was able to open the simple latch on the wooden gate, open it just a few feet wide for my new friend to slip out, and we were as good as gone, circling around the nearest farm and heading on a straight shot south, moving nice and slow to avoid lighting up any guards’ Detection skill, and leaving as little trail as possible. “Alright,” I said, once I was confident that the only thing around us were forest-dwelling vermin and the distant creatures in the forest canopy above. “I think we need to settle one thing first, before we go any farther.” Settle? the critter asked, giving me a curious look. “Yeah. This is possibly the most important decision of your life, too,” I added, “besides choosing to join me.” Decision, the reptile said, conveying to me that it wanted to help. Tell problem. Make decision. “There’s one surefire way to make sure that nobody has a problem with you,” I said, holding up a finger. “Trust me, this works one hundred percent of the time on humans. We get this right, and everyone in Jamestown will love you.” I pulled up to a stop and knelt down to look the critter in the eye. It stopped as well, meeting my eyes in return. Without proper meaning, it conveyed preparedness. It was ready to handle any task, so long as it could continue to be fed and grow stronger. “You need a name,” I said at last. |

First of all, substance abuse disorder is a disease and we need to start treating it as such. You don’t put a person with schizophrenia in prison. You don’t condemn a bipolar person. You don’t tell someone with PTSD that they put themselves in that position.
And who in their right mind would choose to have a substance use disorder? Do you think anyone is truly proud that they have a chemical dependency? Do you think anyone wouldn’t be happier without it?
Here’s the issue though: like other mental illnesses, it requires therapists, doctors and other professional help. Sure, there are some people who don’t require that extent of intervention, but even they would benefit from receiving it.
So here’s the deal. First, get rid of the black markets by giving away drugs for free. Cocaine, meth, fucking krokodil if it’s their drug of choice. No need to fund the black market if you can just pick up a free dose whenever you need it. Plus, no worries about it being cut, laced, or straight up something else entirely. You know what you’re getting.
Second: you’re going to have a doctor prescribing the correct dosage for you. No worries about an overdose. No worries about it being too little or too much. Need more? The doctor can not only tell you if you can handle it, but could potentially even prescribe a secondary drug to help if you’ve already reached the maximum dosage of what you prefer.
Third: here’s the catch. In order to get this free drug, you just have to talk to a therapist about why you want it. You’re just wanting to see what cocaine feels like? Great, why is that important to you? Are you trying to bury any stress or depression or anything else you’d like to discuss? You’ve been addicted to meth for 5 years? Let’s figure out why and how we can help. Maybe we can switch you to something less harmful next time and reduce the harm you’re doing to your body while we figure out the root cause. Oh, you actually are in total pain and heroin is the only thing that helps? Well we can talk about this again next time and anything else you want to talk about. Pain isn’t causing any depression is it? Glad you’ve found something that helps.
This all goes without saying that it would rely on a free healthcare system. But healthcare is what this issue needs, not the prison system. Fuck spending tax dollars on for-profit prisons that do nothing to address the real problems. Fuck enriching criminals who profit off of disease and suffering. Fuck demonizing people who are just trying to find a way to make the world suck a little bit less than it does.

But, I have friends and loved ones who fall into this category. I wish them to be unbothered and safe.
It’s already problematic or grimy to persist some about their sex lives and habits, if they aren’t interested in giving details or refusing to give answers. Though, some people have to be told directly
It’s even more problematic if a person identifies as ace/asexual/aromantic and outright states they don’t want or are interested in sex and/or romance. A person is clearly violating their boundaries from the jump taking the conversation in that direction.
These people don’t need you to be their therapist or…a sexual therapists. Nor an unqualified psychiatrist, a dating coach, counselor, guru, or a potential dating partner.
They’ve set the expectation that they do not want sexual contact, engagement, or unions. If they decide to at some stage, that’s totally up to them, but you should not be badgering them about being sexual or romantic.
No one owes anyone sex as it is, but expecting someone to be allosexual just because is an awful reason. Friends and family members should not be pressuring you to have sex with anyone at any point. If a person wants to have sex is one matter, but if they don’t they don’t.
They’ve chosen and preferred to be this way and is what makes them the happiest and most comfortable. If they don’t want sexual unions, romantic relationships, marriages, or children, that’s beyond acceptable. Just the same for other people who want or do not want those things.
If you really do believe in the “my body, my choice” mantra for yourself, you should extend that to other people and let them decide what they do with their own bodies. Just because you’re someone’s parent doesn’t give you dominion over someone’s body, just the same with spouses, strangers, or so called “living companies,” like corporations.

Their realm was rather peaceful and orderly, most tasks were done precisely when needed and to its best capability. The keep they held was running like clockwork, the finances, the histories all written and stored. When she was little her father and mother usually were too busy, so the maester took care of her. From a young age she loved reading, often being too eager trying to take on bigger novels that were a bit above her reading level. She would learn to read and write before she could walk. As she got older she learned to ride as well, this would be taught by her father after a heated discussion that her parents didn't have time for her. She would continue to learn from the master how to scribe, how to be a good scholar and even on occasions when she was ahead of her studies, she would learn from the raven masters at the keep. Genevieve hated wars and battles as she found them pointless, her father tried teaching her one hand weapons, but she would do it with no enthusiasm at all. She didn't care for weapons, armor, warriors, she only had her head in books.
At age 12 she dreamed of going to the citadel but the place was forbidden to her, her parents were trying to keep her safe, they believed an arranged marriage would be more fruitful than sending their only daughter to the citadel. She was taught womanly etiquettes, how to act, how to cook, clean, and care for family. Her only companions she saw fit to be her friends were the ravens that were in the tower. She would often like to make names for the ravens and backstories as her favorite pastime. This soon would change as in her daily teachings when she wasn't burying her head in her novels and books, the female teacher taught her to dance, this gave her life new excitement as she learned to dance. At first she started rather clumsily, but soon got the hang of it as she understood how to coordinate different movements at once. Her favorite was ballroom dancing. Her life thought boring would bring a new flame of excitement as she attended her first dance, her parents hoping she would find someone to wed, but sadly she did not, she was rather shy aside from the dancing though she had a feeling for one of the squires in the room. She would only catch his first name, which she found quite witty and dreamy. Her parents however disapproved of this the moment they found out. She would continue her studies and help aid the keep and wendwater running like her parents have. She would continue dancing however though no suitors would be found as once the dancing stopped, she shied away and kept to herself, not even the etiquette she was taught would help as she was too shy, though loved to dance. Hi friends, Im a 36 yr old cis woman who was recently diagnosed with ADHD.
I started first on Vyvanse (10mg) and it was incredible! I had spotlight focus, got about 3 month's worth of work tasks done in 1 week, I had energy for a work day plus a workout plus planning ans cooking a meal. I was crying tears of joy it was so helpful!!! Unfortunately, by week 3 the stomach issues were too much to handle 😫 so I was switched to Adderrall (also 10mg).
The experience is wildly different, instead of a poetic synergy of thoughts and energy its just quiet nothingness and so much chill I fall asleep; yes just sitting at my desk trying to work, and I am zonked right out I'm so tired. My doc says give it 2 weeks, that the sleepiness will pass and the thoughts and energy will come back but Im honestly just stressed right out about spending another 2 weeks napping instead of functioning. 🙈 Sleeping seems to be all I can do right now.
Vyvanse felt like a miracle, Adderrall feels like a horse-dropping tranquilizer. DOES IT PASS?? Is it worth it to keep going even if I sleep for 2 weeks straight?

I haven't been a 'big shot' as an artist but I'm good at creative stuff. So I was doing digital art for like a year or two and now I started an art degree where I have to do a lot more traditional art.

William Lucius stood on the hill overlooking the work on settlement number six. The sun was setting and casting a warm glow over the construction site. William was in his early forties, with short, sandy blond hair and piercing green eyes that scanned the settlement below. He had earned his place on the ships thanks to his masterful architectural and construction engineering skills.
On Earth, he worked on numerous large-scale projects, but the one that possibly put him over his competition was when he planned and oversaw an Olympic village project that had to be finished in just three months due to the previous contractor's inability to fulfill the host country’s demands. He and his team not only managed to finish it, but they created a masterful settlement that was a tourist attraction for years after the Olympic games had passed.
William had been awakened before the landing in order to make plans and give input on the landing position. He suggested a valley with a large river running through it, and the council listened. There was no time for large-scale buildings; they needed to make the settlement functional in the shortest amount of time possible in order to be ready to deal with the imminent threat of the aliens.
Enormous 3D printers helped with this process, printing large one-story buildings that, for now, only consisted of sleep quarters. There was no need for a kitchen yet, and toilets were built separately for each block of buildings. People only needed places to sleep and rest while spending their free time helping humanity build its first settlements on an alien planet.
Settlement six had around 150,000 people in it, and in the first three weeks, they managed to build enough sleeping quarters for almost a third of them. The rest would continue to use what space the ships could offer or tents and sleeping bags before their new homes were built.
As William gazed down at the settlement, he took a deep breath and savored the fresh, crisp air. He couldn't believe that he was standing on a foreign planet, looking down at a settlement that he had helped create. An eerie feeling came over him when thinking of their home planet Earth and what happened with the rest of humanity. But there was no point dwelling on the past, they had been given a second chance and they best use it fully.
The sun was now fully set, and the sky was painted in hues of violet and orange. All three of the planet's moons could be clearly visible in the sky, casting an ethereal glow over the entire landscape. He had heard that the planet had three moons even before they landed, but seeing them with his own eyes from the surface felt surreal, and the feeling hadn't passed yet.
William's watch beeped with a new message, and he clicked on its surface, causing a hologram to climb his underarm displaying the message. It was a notification that the council meeting of this settlement was about to take place in fifteen minutes. He made his way down towards the ship where the meeting would take place, greeting workers along the way.
Once at the meeting, he listened to various reports from the military to scientists. Somewhere along the way, he gave his own report on how many beds were ready and the plans for the upcoming week. The scientists informed them of four new animal species they had found that day in the nearby forest. They were all insects and, so far, were not poisonous. The military personnel gave vague reports, mostly keeping to themselves because they didn't want to frighten the public. But the gist of it was that the enemy hadn't made any major moves, and there were still no sightings of aliens coalition. All they knew, for now, was that they were still in their landing position due to their thermal prints.
Most of the people who had earned a place on the ships thanks to their skills were allowed to take their families with them unless their spouses were convicted criminals or terminally ill. So, once William had secured his place, he was beyond happy that the job that often caused quarrels in his marriage and kept him away from his three kids was the reason they all got a second chance at life. His wife was also a biologist, which was an added bonus and helped their overall case to be selected for the exodus.
After the meeting William walked back towards his sleeping quarters, which were located in the first printed building on the east side of the settlement, some ten-minute walk from the ships, the sound of the printers and chatter of the people filled his ears. He couldn't help but appreciate the natural beauty of the planet's night sky, with the stars twinkling brightly and the three moons visible in the distance.
As he approached his building, he saw his children playing next to the river in the twilit, and his wife chatting with some of their new neighbors. The nights were much brighter here than on Earth, which was one of the first things he noticed about the planet since they came here.
"Hi, William. Is my house built already?" his neighbor Nick asked snapping him out of the look-around.
"Not yet, Nick.“ William said while shaking his hand. ”Why do you even need a house when you can sleep under this beautiful sky?" William said, jokingly.
"Ha-ha, let's switch then," Nick replied.
"I would, but my kids, man. I gotta put them first. They need a bed," William smiled and pointed towards his.
Nick was somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades, having served in the military for a short period, climbed mountains, explored the Amazon, and more. but that of course wasn’t enough to earn him the place here. He got his place on the ship thanks to his wife, who was one of the top physicists in the world. Nick was assigned to the exploration teams that were investigating the terrain around the settlement and slowly moving further out.
"Going somewhere tomorrow?" William asked.
"Yes, tomorrow we're going on our longest route yet. We won't be back for three days, most likely. Keep an eye on Diane if she ever leaves the clinic," Nick said, a slight smile on his face.
"You've got it," William said with a smile. “Best of luck on your expedition.” He said and started walking towards his family.
His wife welcomed him with a soft kiss and warm embrace, but the kids just waved him away as they were too busy playing.
“How was your day?” Elain asked.
“Ehh, same more or less.” He said with a sigh. “A lot of overseeing, planning, and micro-management. But everything is going better than expected so can’t complain.” He said giving her one more kiss and asking her about her day.
“It was great, we discovered a new animal today, our first mammal.” She said excitingly. “A squirrel-like creature with yellowish fur almost three times the size of the squirrels.” She said showing the size of the creature with her hands. “Micha caught it at the outskirts of the settlement and brought it to the lab today and we researched it, took some blood work, and put a tracker with a cameras on it before we let it free so we can maybe find where they live, how they feed.”
“Ohh, that’s nice,” William said finally letting go of her. “How were the kids today?” People that still didn’t have tasks to do were tasked with watching over the kids until they were assigned to some of the positions.
“They were good,” She said with a sigh. “Tristan still has a lot of questions about where we are, where are grandpa and grandma when he will go to school, and so on.” She said pressing her lips together.
“Damn,” William said. “I don’t blame him, it crossed my mind as well today,” William said and remembered his parents, brother, in-laws, Elains sister and family, and everyone they left behind. That was a tough decision and they almost didn’t accept the invitation to the ships as it was a weird feeling leaving everyone behind to die.
They picked up the kids from the makeshift playground and went straight into their room where they spend part of the night talking and playing cards. They tried to explain to Tristan as best they could about how they were on a new planet and that much time has passed in between. The little one nodded in agreement, but William knew it would take him many years before he fully understood what happened. Two of them fell asleep as soon as the kids started snoring.

So everyone knows about the human barrier's existence because belos was and is a human. But why kings crown? Heck, why any of that useless junk. Simple, it was a trap for luz. Since belos knew she would come to the boiling isel, eventually. He made a barrier only she could get through and that must've been a way to confirm her existence here. So what about the thing the warden said about taking Kings crown and Eda coming to get it. Simple (again) belos knew about wardens love for Eda and told him to steal the crown , and she would come running.
Tldr: the human barrier makes no sense for defending so many useless objects. Especially since belos himself would have to put them in there. He ordered the warden (using his love for Eda to manipulate him) to steal kings crown. Then, he could confirm Luz’s arrival

I'm starting a completely blind playthrough of Demon's Souls on the PS3. I know nothing except that it's a precursor of sorts to Dark Souls. I'm not sure if anyone here is interested in a middle-aged, only-slightly-competent gamer dad slowly blunder through Demon's Souls... but to try and promote the playthrough I wanted to post a link. So far I'd say the biggest challenge for me is the difference in roll mechanics... sometimes I roll completely the wrong way than I intended to. This makes things a bit more difficult for me because I'm playing shieldless and dodging is my only option.

tldr; Acasis TBU42 6 in 1 NVMe is fast and not too expensive, but not same form factor as mini.
I received my Mac Mini m2 Pro 16GB/1TB a few weeks ago.
Wanted both hub and an external SSD, which led me to consider various combos, especially ones that physically mate with the Mac Mini, with brands such as Satechi, Hagibis, Quiizlab. These 3 and similar combos cap SSD performance far below what TB3 or TB4 is capable of for an external SSD, which is in the vicinity of just under 3000MB/sec Write, 3000 MB/sec Read if saturating the bandwidth that Thunderbolt is willing to provide (a portion is reserved for video).
For this scenario, many suggest getting a standalone NVMe enclosure in addition to the hub, from either Acasis or Orico (two top NVMe enclosure brands). I didn't want the extra clutter of 2 eternal gadgets instead of 1. And I had concerns about power - these types of hubs can be powered entirely off the mac mini but that can lead to problems with SSD not getting enough power, and this can cause dropped connections.

I ordered Acasis 6 in 1 NVMe hub for $130 (plus I paid $20 additional for the Acasis 65W power supply): TBU42. I ordered direct from Acasis and will get it in a week (Some Acasis products available on Amazon, but NOT TBU42 currently).
For SSD I'll buy:
WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe SSD - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280 for $60. I learned that many SSDs are not perfectly compatible with either Macs or Acasis or some combination of the two but of the few which work really well and are very fast, SN770 is the most economical. I received my Mac Mini m2 Pro 16GB/1TB a few weeks ago.
Wanted both hub and an external SSD, which led me to consider various combos, especially ones that physically mate with the Mac Mini, with brands such as Satechi, Hagibis, Quiizlab. These 3 and similar combos cap SSD performance far below what TB3 or TB4 is capable of for an external SSD, which is in the vicinity of just under 3000MB/sec Write, 3000 MB/sec Read if saturating the bandwidth that Thunderbolt is willing to provide (a portion is reserved for video).
For this scenario, many suggest getting a standalone NVMe enclosure in addition to the hub, from either Acasis or Orico (two top NVMe enclosure brands). I didn't want the extra clutter of 2 eternal gadgets instead of 1. And I had concerns about power - these types of hubs can be powered entirely off the mac mini but that can lead to problems with SSD not getting enough power, and this can cause dropped connections.

Despite production's best efforts, this is becoming an absolute killer of a season. Carolyn, Yam Yam, and Josh are the most chaotic tribe ever, and I'm loving every second, even enough to move Josh up from last place in my rankings. That said, while this season is hella entertaining, those not rising to the occasion are being left on the cutting room floor. This combined with certain people's rising levels of negativity is narrowing down our contenders so quickly, that now at episode five I am left with only two top contenders.

Who are my top contenders? ...
- Carolyn. (-) I'm still running at 80% certainty that Carolyn is the winner of the season. Her content is pure gold, her strategy is given in clear, complex confessionals, and she is being portrayed as nothing but a great player with a hell of a personality. While I have no real 'red flags' for Carolyn, there are a couple of things to consider. Of course, Carolyn is a once in a blue moon television personality. She always gets this much content regardless of how far she gets, but I would argue it would be less favourable towards her. My other concern is that Carolyn's edit is much more alike Shan, Omar, and Jesse's than Erika, Maryanne, or Gabler's, and she could very well be this season's dragon. I'm not convinced that the winner will always have a more imperfect edit than the dragon in the new era, and it's more of a circumstantial type of thing. Shan ran the game before Erika took over, the same for Omar with Maryanne. This could just simply be a case where the dragon isn't as entertaining as her, is taken out earlier, OR that Carolyn is the dragon but is never taken out.
- Yam Yam. (+6) At the end of last season, I made a list of things that 43's edit taught us, and on that list I said negativity should be ignored if it is followed up by positivity and a consistent edit. This was a really good episode for Yam Yam that despite keeping lingering hints of negativity, overall showed him positively as a fun person and a strong game player. I mentioned last week that the real contenders in the new era are the people portrayed as real people not characters, and Yam Yam got personal content in spades here, and loads of confessionals where he talked through his conflicting feelings on the Josh vs Carolyn debate. He is also shown to be the only player aware of Carolyn's true capabilities, and all his reads on Josh were also accurate. All of this plus his mat chat scene make me pretty certain that he is the next most likely player to win after Carolyn, and I'd probably give him as high as a 15% chance.
Who else is still a contender? ...
- Frannie. (-) Frannie continues to be portrayed as a smart player who has strong bonds with the rest of her tribe. She shows some good awareness about her positioning and other people's perceptions of her relationship with Matt, and she was portrayed to have pulled the wool over Jaime's eyes when she rumbled her targeting of Matt, and questioned Jaime's perceptions considering she had not realised how close they were. My main problem with Frannie at this point as a winner candidate is that we don't really know much about her plans moving forward and how well her bonds with Danny and Heidi translate into any kind of alliance.
- Carson. (-) My final contender is Carson. I'll say it now, I don't think he is the winner, and he is almost transforming into a villain taking over from Matthew (the laugh in that confessional was kind of creepy). BUT, all that strong personal content early on and the exploration of all of his alliances - two on Tika and his relationships at Rotu, leave me convinced that he will be central to everything that plays out in this game.
Who am I losing hope for? ...
- Danny. (-) This episode started off seeming like it would be great for Danny, with him explaining his meditation and breathing exercises and being shown as a central member of the Soka tribe. But when it came to the trip to the Sanctuary, he and Brandon completed disregarded Carolyn's presence, clearly underestimating her, and as we know that will be deadly in the game. He also explained his entire strategy to Carolyn, and that information will be so easy for Carolyn to use to bring all of the women together. I could look past this negativity if Danny had a stronger premiere, but given his presence on the rest of the season and how big of a character he is, I don't believe he would receive so little screen time initially if he were to be the winner. Negativity, plus a bad premiere, plus being on the wrong side of Carolyn is enough for me to knock Danny out of my contender bracket for now.
- Kane. (+3) Kane continues to rise due to everyone else continuing to fall. I think his presence this episode was more to bolster Carson's edit, but he's been consistently present in the edit, and he is getting quite a lot of positivity for someone who is on the bottom of his tribe. My red flags with Kane are his general lack of strategic content, and his weaker premiere, which could be argued to be shielding. I still don't see him as a real contender, but I'm not comfortable eliminating him either.
- Brandon. (-1) I'm starting to lean more towards merge boot than contender with Brandon. While he certainly has a continuous presence and visibility going for him throughout the premerge, his negativity this episode brings into question how we are supposed to read the rest of his content. Whilst his one confessional per episode and personal content montage initially seemed like a good foundation to be built on premerge, I'm now starting to see it as simply a reminder of his existence. It feels very similar to Sydney in 41, where despite being irrelevant premerge she still received content building to her blindside at the fake merge. My current theory is that Brandon is idoled out by Carolyn (maybe playing the idol for someone else) and that is why he is important, because he is one of the eventual winner's big moves.
Who is not winning? ...
- Heidi. (-1) I've been holding out hope for Heidi but after this episode she is done. She had a strong premiere, but realistically they like to give everyone something in the first episode, and since then she has only been given circumstantial content. She has the quietest edit left, and I just don't believe they would edit the winner like this after the backlash received from Erika.
- Matt. (+1) He's still being portrayed as a bit of a dodo/goofball. I still think he could go all the way, but as far as winning goes, we know the other players aren't taking him seriously.
- Josh. (+3) Finally! Some fantastic content from Josh these past two episodes, and he's now been built up as a main character for the season. However, even if it were not a case of too little, too late, his idol antics and terrible lying would be enough to eliminate him anyway.
- Jaime. (+1) She's a joy to watch, but Jaime's single scene this episode was again used to undercut her and show that she has an awful read on her fellow players.
- Lauren. (-1) Maybe I'm too hasty moving her below Josh and Jaime, but she is completely irrelevant this season, and that has been my read on her since the second episode. Any content is better than no content in the new era.

As some know I just started dark arisen a week and fell in love with it all over again lol.
Someone mentioned magik archer got buffed and I slightly recall never using that class before so I've learned that classes give certain stats on lvling up (don't think I paid attention to this year's ago.) soooo I spent 26 lvls in strider before I stumbled on " build " topics on the steam page and gamefaq then switched to mage til i was strong to farm the... whats it name wigh or something and currently farming sorcerer's ranks on it (currently lv45 was lv40 when I switched because I forgot the spot and I didn't max rank mage til now lol.) am I still good for mk/ma? They seem to play similarly.
Since I only played the vanilla back then and I recall also doing little of a certain *fall* area im curious how strong must I be to fight/farm that bitter island place since I've read the loot there is better. (I also read its harder as well and Capcom recommend lv50, but a website said they only got comfortable at lv90.) (I also read its the best place to lvl up as well which has my attention mostly.)
On side note... is there like any red/white dress armors and any red great swords?

i hope we can stay like this forever. after the two treacherous weeks that i suffered through in march, i hope we never face these things again. and i know internally you’re saying and thinking that it’s a cycle and that it occurs all the time just on a different day. but i refuse to let what happened, happen again.
wednesdays cannot be just another day to me. our silly tradition is engrained in it and when i don’t have you around to celebrate with me, it feels like a piece of me has broken off. i would rather face the most painful feeling than spend another wednesday without you.
when jealousy arises, i will tell you. no matter how ridiculous and stupid it may be. but i also need you to understand where i stand. instead of getting angry or annoyed, or claiming that you cannot talk to women, please just reassure me. that is all i ask. if i strip myself down, leaving no shield left, all i ask is that you approach my bare self with kindness. i would rather face embarrassment than lose you again. but i always fear about ruining the mood and the vibe. so please don’t let my irrational thoughts taint our time together because then i would feel even worse.
