I recently learned that the PS4 supports external storage. I have some questions about specifics, and because I have very little room in my budget for non-essential items (video games and oncert tickets - and the cost associated with traveling to/from said concerts - are about the only things I spend on for myself), I like to know as much as possible before such an expenditure. What I'm wondering is:

1. I have a PS4 Slim (with a 1TB HDD). Can I use external storage, or do I need a PS4 Pro?
2. Can I use multiple external drives? I don't mean simultaneously. It's my understanding there's a limit to the number that can be used at once. I'm wondering if I can download my entire library onto multiple devices and connect whichever one I need at the time, switching as often as I like. Or should I just get the largest capacity I can (8TB is the largest one that's compatible, I believe) and download only as many games as it will hold?

I could find this out on my own, most likely, but I'm not the most technologically savvy person, and I don't have the attention span to do loads of research without becoming frustrated and most likely getting a crippling stress headache, so I've come to Reddit. These communities have, by and large, helped me immensely in the past. It's difficult to be treated well by strangers, particularly on the good ol' Internet, so I'm always truly, deeply grateful for the assistance. Make no mistake, I've had to deal with assholes on Reddit, much like anywhere else, but so far they've been vastly outnumbered by the decent folks, and in 2023, that's usual and inspiring - to me, at least. So I watched this video about the recent revelations surrounding Epstein's death and I'm a bit surprised to hear Vaush saying "it's barely even a conspiracy theory that he didn't kill himself". I know that conspiracy theorists are 100% certain that he didn't and use the case to make fun of "sheep" who believe the official version, but I fail to see any conclusive or even circumstantial evidence proving murder in any way.
The main argument seems to be the motive, that many powerful people WANTED him dead/silenced, but Epstein himself had all the reasons in the world to end his life. On the day before his death (a day after signing his final will), his lawyers presented him with thousands of documents detailing rape and sex trafficking allegations by multiple underage women, with overwhelming evidence. He was facing 45 years in prison, or at the very minimum 30-35 years if he fully cooperated and provided names of other offenders, so he would most likely die behind bars, and was at serious risk of getting attacked/killed by other inmates due to his crimes. His life and reputation were completely ruined and less than a month before his death, he unsuccessfully tried to kill himself. Another argument is that he told a psychologist he wasn't suicidal (to avoid being put back on suicide watch) because "he had a wonderful life", but the fact that he HAD a glamorous lifestyle before his arrest is even more reason to become suicidal.
People also point to the fact that hyoid bone fractures from hanging are uncommon, but they do happen (6-25% of the time according to studies), especially when the person is older and the bones are more fragile.
Yes, the security camera right outside his cell didn't work, which had been reported prior to his death, but there were enough functioning cameras in his cell block to track anyone's movement.
Having said this, I do NOT rule out foul play and I don't think the recent details from the AP report disprove the theory either - what I'm pushing back against is the absolute certainty with which people CONCLUDE that he was murdered, by someone. I would be more open to the idea that prison guards were bribed to look the other way and let him kill himself, but that's not what Vaush and the majority of people are claiming happened.

I've recently come across this community and it has compelled me to do a significant amount of self-reflection. It didn't necessarily offer me new revelations, but it provided the final push I needed to acknowledge an inconvenient truth: I have been wasting my time gaming.
I have struggled with depression this past school year, and I've used video games as a crutch, despite knowing they don't provide any real relief. Too often, I've found myself neglecting my studies to play games for hours on end. The most troubling part is that I'm not even enjoying the time I spend gaming. There's a constant nagging thought in the back of my mind telling me I'm wasting precious time and falling short of my potential.
However, what really lit a fire under me and sparked my desire to quit gaming entirely was my girlfriend. We've been together for nearly six years, and she's truly phenomenal. We share dreams of a future together and she does so much to help me succeed and reduce my stress. This allows me to focus on my university studies and work towards securing a job that can support us both. But when I play video games, I can't help but feel I'm not holding up my end of the bargain. It's struck me hard: why am I wasting time on games when I could be advancing my studies and securing our future?

Self disorders
Anomalous self experience is thought to be a core feature of schizophrenia spectrum disorders that is unique to schizophrenia spectrum disorders, in contrast to many symptoms which are transdiagnostic. The sense of selfhood, self ownership, embodiment, identity, and immersion in the social world is lacking in schizophrenia spectrum disorders, which leads to traits like antagonomia, hyper-reflectivity, eccentricity, double bookkeeping, social isolation, and “bizzare” delusions.
Hyper-reflectivity: Exaggerated self-consciousness and abnormally high levels of reflection and introspection, disengaging from typical involvement in society and nature, perceiving oneself from a sort of ‘third person perspective’. This may drive some individuals with schizotypal traits or StPD to an interest in psychology, with many innovative psychologists having significant signs of schizotypal personality disorder.
Double bookkeeping: A “split” experience of reality, where one reality is based in the laws of nature and independence of the mind from the external world, and the other reality is a “delusional” private framework that violates the laws of nature, which co-exist.
Childhood schizotypal personality disorder
There is a common misconception that schizophrenia spectrum disorders begin at adolescence, however this is not the case, rather the onset of psychosis tends to occur in adolescence, but schizophrenia spectrum disorders and symptoms are present from childhood. Children with schizotypal personality disorder have similar symptoms to adults, and may additionally have autistic-like traits (such as strong interests) which tend to fade into adulthood.
The schizophrenia spectrum
Schizotypal personality disorder is not a distinct category of personality and brain function, but is rather on a continuum with 'normal' personality, from no schizotypal traits all the way to severe schizophrenia. Traits of schizotypal personality disorder in the general population are referred to as "schizotypy". Increased levels of schizotypy are characteristic of creative, imaginative, open-minded, eccentric individuals who may otherwise be high functioning and healthy. Schizoid and avoidant personality disorder are included in this spectrum.
Personality traits
In the big five, schizotypal personality disorder is characterized by high openness, low conscientiousness, low extraversion, and high neuroticism. High openness and low conscientiousness most clearly differentiate schizotypal personality from schizophrenia and controls.
In MBTI, schizotypal personality is associated with introversion, intuition, thinking, and perceiving (INTP type).
On the fisher temperament inventory, StPD is associated with low cautious/social norm compliant and analytical/tough minded, and higher prosocial/empathetic and curious/energetic temperaments

Interests and Strengths
Schizotypal personality disorder is associated with having creative interests, hobbies, and professions, such as painting, music, comedy, scientific research, and entrepreneurship. Increased creativity, imagination, and global processing (“big picture” thinking).
Cognitive ability and intelligence
In contrast to schizophrenia, intellectual ability is not reduced in StPD but there are specific impairments in areas such as attention and verbal learning. Intelligence effects the presentation of StPD, being associated with lower magical and paranormal beliefs, lower sexual and social anhedonia, more successful creativity, and better theory of mind
Theory of Mind
Theory of mind ability is generally reduced in StPD, however this is not caused by mentalizing deficits as in autism, and are largely due to lower cognitive ability that is associated with schizophrenia spectrum disorders, anomalous self experience, and hyper-mentalizing.
Relationship with worldviews and religiosity
Schizotypy is conducive to affective religious experiences (e.g., feeling connected to a higher power), however evidence suggests that persons with StPD are less likely to be religious than the general population, but may have unconventional spiritual beliefs (“spiritual but not religious”)
Relationships with other disorders
Psychopathy
StPD is associated with low levels of primary psychopathy (e.g., dominance, lack of empathy, high stress tolerance, deceptiveness), and high secondary psychopathy (e.g., impulsivity, rebelliousness, social deviance)
Borderline personality disorder
StPD and BPD overlap very highly and are related disorders, however persons with BPD do not have negative symptoms (social isolation, extreme social anxiety, hyper-independence, constricted affect) and also do not have self disorders, whereas those with StPD do
Other SSDs
Given that StPD is on a spectrum with other schizophrenia spectrum disorders, there is overlap between the disorders with shared symptoms. Put simply, those with schizoid PD meet criteria for avoidant PD, those with schizotypal PD meet criteria for both, and those with schizophrenia meet criteria for all three. Avoidant PD involves social withdrawal and severe social anxiety, schizoid PD involves constricted affect, hyper-independence, and eccentricity on top of AvPD symptoms, and schizotypal PD involves odd speech, perceptual distortions, magical thinking, ideas of reference, and paranoia. Schizophrenia involves psychosis, anhedonia, cognitive deficits, and more severe expression of the symptoms of schizotypal PD.
Bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder is very closely related to the schizophrenia spectrum, and it has been suggested that bipolar disorder may be on a continuum with schizotypal personality disorder and schizophrenia. Most people with bipolar disorder will have symptoms of schizotypal personality disorder and vice versa.
Histrionic & Narcissistic personality disorder
HPD and NPD are negatively associated with StPD, however they may appear superficially similar in some aspects (e.g., idionomia in StPD may be mistaken as narcissistic grandiosity).
Obsessive compulsive spectrum
StPD shows a positive relationship with OCD, but a negative relationship with obsessive compulsive personality disorder (OcPD), as OcPD involves hyper-conscientiousness and conformity whereas low conscientiousness and disinhibition are characteristic of schizotypy
Substance use
Substance use is extremely common in StPD, with 67% of patients having a diagnosable substance use disorder
Mood disorders
Mood disorders including generalized anxiety, major depression, and panic disorder are very common in schizotypal personality disorder, as is the case in most psychiatric disorders
Dissociative disorders
Depersonalization and derealization are common in StPD, and there is evidence that dissociative disorders and schizophrenia spectrum disorders may have shared causes
ADHD
Symptoms of ADHD are very common in StPD, and differences in attention and self regulation are thought to play a part in the causation of StPD.
Autism
Autism and StPD appear to overlap, but this is largely due to transdiagnostic symptoms and superficial similarities. Thorough and theoretically informed examination of the relationship between these disorders suggests that they are likely opposite ends of a continuum. Currently, no clinical tools exist that can differentiate the two disorders, however there is one being developed currently set to be completed by the end of 2023. Comorbid diagnoses of autism and StPD largely appear to be false positives upon investigation, and evidence suggests that a true comorbidity would either be characterized by very high intelligence or severe intellectual disability. Some distinctions (that are easily observable) between the disorders are listed below

Cannabinoid system
Cannabis produces effects resembling StPD symptoms and associated traits, and StPD is associated with higher levels of anandamide, the neurotransmitter which activates the same receptors as cannabis. Cannabis is also found to temporarily increase the severity of positive symptoms
Serotonin system
Higher serotonin is associated with conformity, conscientiousness, and low openness, which is opposite of StPD. People with StPD have higher levels of enzymes that break down serotonin, and lower expression of some serotonin receptors.
Dynorphin system
Dynorphin is a stress hormone that produces dysphoria, dissociation, and psychotic-like symptoms and cognition. Dynorphin levels are associated with increased severity of schizophrenia spectrum symptoms
Glutamate & NMDA
NMDA is a type of glutamate receptor that is reduced in association with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. NMDA blockers cause symptoms and associated traits of StPD and can induce psychosis, and people with StPD also have higher levels of the NMDA antagonist neurotransmitter agmatine.
Cognitive, psychological, and evolutionary causes
Predictive processing
A recent model of schizotypy suggests that it is a cognitive-perceptual specialization for processing chaotic and noisy data, where patterns and relationships exist but can only be detected if minor inconsistencies are ignored (i.e., focusing on the 'big picture'), where giving higher weight to prediction errors prevents the detection of false patterns (i.e. apophenia) at the cost of being unable to detect higher level patterns (autism), and giving lower weight to prediction errors allows for the detection of higher level patterns at the cost of occasionally detecting patterns that don't exist, as in delusions and hallucinations that occur in schizotypy. This model explains many traits associated with schizotypy and links other theories of schizotypy
Hyper-mentalizing
The hyper-mentalizing model suggests that symptoms like ideas of reference, paranoia, erotomania, auditory hallucinations, delusions of conspiracy, etc are a result of excessive mentalizing, where intentions are inferred excessively to the point of delusion, in contrast to autism where mentalizing is reduced. Many other features and associated traits like odd speech and increased creativity can be explained by this model.
Imagination
It is thought that StPD may involve overly increased imagination, which can explain symptoms and features like hyper-mentalizing, dissociation, perceptual deficits, and enhanced creativity.
Life history
It is suggested that StPD may have been evolutionarily selected for due to its ability to enhance short term mating success through enhanced creativity and non-conformity, which are beneficial to desirability as short term partners, but not long term partners. This is supported by studies showing that persons with high traits of StPD have more total sexual partners, more effort into forming short term relationships, and lower effort into maintaining long term ones. This is consistent with a fast life history strategy, and StPD correlates with other markers of fast strategies such as impulsivity, sensation seeking, low disgust sensitivity, earlier maturation, etc.
Hyper-openness and apophenia
Openness to experience is associated with apophenia and intelligence, though the two latter traits are negatively related to eachother. It is suggested that schizotypy represents apophenia, and an imbalance of high openness relative to intelligence is suggested to cause symptoms of StPD. This model is in agreement with other models, with openness relating to higher imagination, mentalizing, and faster life history strategies.

Jeongyeon: I first met Jennie in 2017 at an award show. Since then we have been acquaintances. Now I have never told anyone this, but me and Jimin went to the same school, and we hated each other. We even once got into a fight(I won). Although we don't hate each other now exactly, I can't say that we don't at least dislike one another. I have ran into BTS once, and although Jimin was rude, V defended me. Since then, we have been close friends.
Jeongyeon: So let me make it crystal clear that MALE AND FEMALE IDOLS CAN BE FRIENDS AND NOTHING MORE. This is a very important theme for this whole story. Me and V are not interested in each other, but im sure if photos were taken you crazy fans would be having a field day. However, hearing about the recent situation between Jennie and V sparked my curiosity. I had no idea those 2 had any relationship, and they were being extremely secretive. But after going on a 3 day quest, I can say that they are definitely NOT DATING. First, we have to go back to this Monday.
MONDAY
Momo: "Have you heard about Jennie and V?"
Jihyo: "Yes I have... They must be dating."
Jeongyeon: "Woah, woah, woah, I wouldn't go as far and say that. I don't think so..."
Momo: "What makes you say that?"
Jeongyeon: " I'm saying that because I know both of them. I haven't heard anything. We can't jump to any conclusions yet..."
Jihyo: "True, why don't you go and just text both of them and see what's up?"
Jeongyeon: "I can't just ask them that! They'll think im invading their privacy."
Momo: "Jeongyeons right, you can't just be so direct. There's not much we can really do."
Jihyo: "Well im not gonna just take that for an answer! Somethings up and I wanna know!"
Jeongyeon: "Well, there is someone I know who can help us out..."
-50 minutes later-
The trio opened the wooden door which revealed a mysterious colorful hallway. Jeongyeon led the way, pushing aside a blue star curtain which led to a new room.
Rosé sat on a pink throne coated with rubies. Heart statues, love symbols and spiritual objects coated the hexagon shaped room like stars in the sky. The room was dimly lit by neon led light strips in the shape of hearts on the wall, spewing a deep purple-pink.
Rosé: "What is it that you have journeyed here for?"
Jeongyeon: "We need info on what is going on between your group mate Jennie and V of Bts."
Rosé: "That situation is a huge mystery that my power can't even fully understand, miss. I possesses the power to make anyone I want to fall out of love and break up. I can make love potions and charms. I can look into someone's heart, and see who they desire, if anyone. But Jennie's heart is a special case. Taehyung is in there, yes. But how much of him I don't know. For all I know they could just be acquaintances.."
Momo: "But you like her sister! Hasn't she told you anything?!?"
Rosé: "Naur, not even a murmur. But my power tells me that there is a connection, though potentially small."
Jihyo: "I see. Thankyou for your time Rosé, we appreciate it."
Rosé: " It's my pleasure"
Jihyo Jeongyeon and Momo left Rosé's building and entered the busy city.
Jihyo: "You've gotta be kidding! Even the mastermind of love can't even shed any light. This us pointless, let's just go home."
TUESDAY
Jeongyeon: I can give up, but I won't. I have to prove that they aren't dating.
Dahyun entered the room.
Dahyun: "Hey Jeongyeon, doing something?"
Jeongyeon: "Oh, not much really-
Dahyun: "I know what you've been up to and what you want, if you want answers follow me."
Jeongyeon: how did she know!?!?
Dahyun drove Jeongyeon to a remote grassy area blanked by a dark status cloud. Finally, they stopped at a worn, dirty, tiny house that looked like it came from a horror movie.
Jeongyeon: "Dahyun, are you sure this will help?"
Dahyun: "Positive, I wouldn't trick you"
They entered the suspicious house, only to be met with a young girl no older than 18.
Sophie: " OH. MY. GOSH. ARE YOU DAHYUNA AND JEONGYEON FROM TWICE? IM SOPHIE AND IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!!"
Jeongyeon: "HI Sophie, it's nice to meet you!"
Jeongyeon smiled cheerfully, while Dahyun rolled her eyes.
Dahyun: "You can cut the act already, we need info."
Sophie's tone changed dramatically.
Sophie: "Ugh, your no fun, whaddya want?"
It was at this moment Jeongyeon learned the truth. Sophie was a Sasaeng.
Dahyun: "We need to know everything there is about Jennie and V, can you help us?"
Sophie: "Whats in it for me?"
Jeongyeon: "I can tell you about my history with Jimin."
Sophie: "Deal. Now not to brag, but I was the one who took that precious video of those 2 love-birds."
Jeongyeon:"YOU WHAT!?!? WHY DID YOU SHARE THAT?"
Sophie: "Zip it ajumma. Anyways, I heard them talking. Apparently they were talking about candy and a time machine idk."
Dahyun: "That makes no sense?"
Sophie: "That's what I thought to, until I saw where they were going. They entered a secret tunnel. I tried following them, but it's like they just- vanished after making the first turn. I'm still confused on what they are doing though.."
Jeongyeon: "Well, V told me once that he has a passion for time travel, maybe they are making a time machine?"
Sophie: "But what does Jennie have to do with that?"
Dahyun: "Her solo.... I was spying on YG and I heard her screaming saying that her solo comeback was destroyed."
Jeongyeon: "When was this?"
Dahyun: "May 15th."
Jeongyeon: "That's right before the video was taken... it makes so much since now. Jennies solo was deleted, so now she is trying to reverse time with the help of V..."
Dahyun: "But why were they talking about candy..."
Jeongyeon: " That - I don't know..."
Sophie: "Alright times up im done, now where's my payment?"
Jeongyeon: "On second thought, I don't think I will tell you anything after you called me Ajumma.."
Sophie: "Oh great! I guess I'll just stop telling your friend Dahyun here everything I know about idols"
Dahyun: "Jeongyeon!! Tell her the story!!"
Jeongyeon: " Alright, fine."
WEDNESDAY
Jeongyeon: I'm so close to figuring everything out
Jeongyeon met with Momo, Jihyo, Dahyun, and Rosé. The 5 of them were determined to get to the bottom of the situation.
They traveled to the tunnel. The suns rays tried their hardest to reach down the walls of the dark cave, but they gave up after 50 feet. Besides the sun, dim white lights poorly illuminated the tunnel every 20 meters. The 5 of them braved down the ominous, uninviting, damp hall. Suddenly they were met with a T shaped intersection. They could turn left or right. Sophie did not say what direction Jennie and V turned.
Jeongyeon: "We split up. Me and Rosé will go left, and the rest can go right. Let's meet up here In 30 minutes."
And with that, Jeongyeon and Rosé walked on for another 15 minutes, until finally, they found a door. They opened it, revealing a large high tech room, with wires and buttons everywhere. The place was a mess, with boxes and paper everywhere, levers sticking out at the most random spots. Candy wrappers sprinked the floor like confetti. Most Jarring was the giant machine in the middle, a metal disk with a 3 meter diameter, and wires connected everywhere. Metal boxes held the thing together, and a huge lever labeled "start" stood on top.
Jeongyeon: "This is it...."
Rosé: "Well no shit-"
Jeongyeon reached for her phone to call the others, before the door swung open.
Jennie and V.
V: "What the hell are you two doing?!?!?"
Jennie: "Rosé? Jeongyeon? How did you find this place?!?!"
Jeongyeon: "Better question is, what are YOU two doing. This is some mad scientist shit."
Jennie sighed.
Jennie: "This is our project... I know we have been secretive, but it's no use hiding anything now. I never thought i would meet someone with such a passion for science as me but then I met V. He is such a bright mind, and together, we made this..."
V: "This is the electrobit 7000. Here's what it does."
V flipped the switch.
V: "you might wanna step back..."
Suddenly, an electric arc appeared between the metal ring, spinning and glowing fiercely. It turned into a white circle. Unexpectedly, a variety of candies erupted from the machine, and landed In a box before the machine shut down.
Rosé: "That's it?"
Jeongyeon: "It spawns candy? It's not a time machine?"
Jennie: "Time machine, we haven't even started making the design for that yet! No this is just something fun we build together. Halloween is gonna be fun now that we have infinite candy."
V: "Now why would you bring up a time machine?"
Jeongyeon: "That's what the Sasaeng who recorded the video said you were talking about."
V: "Oh, I think she means our Thyme machine. We were working on it just that night. It's a real shame we got caught together."
Jeongyeon: "But Jennie, what's this about your solo being destroyed?"
Jennie: "I'm guessing Dahyun told you? It's okay my producer had a backup saved. I was just screaming in the moment."
Rosé: "Well I gotta say Jeongyeon, you and Dahyun really fucked up huh."
Jeongyeon: "Don't act like you didn't believe it. Well o must say, I'm sorry for all this, sneaking into your lab and all."
V: "Don't worry about it, just please don't tell anyone. And also show me who took the video, so I remember"
And with that, the truth was revealed, and Jeongyeon could finally go back home with the full story of what happened.
Jeongyeon: So this brings us to now. Jennie and V are not dating. They are just friends, and would like to be called that. I'm sharing this so that everyone knows the FULL STORY. Jennie and V have decided they are ready to let people know about their lab, so it is okay for me to share this.

in short: more and more companies are attempting to force their clients' loyalty to maximise profits. even if they could rationalise it with intellectual property law, it has at least been contradicting with the competition one. Reddit's API change is one of them, and all the theoretical QoL losses and side effects as mentioned are exactly what they want to do, therefore everything is as-is. these corporations that chose to sacrifice the good values and anything that made them great are practically soulless, it's better to force them bring it back or get it destroyed and build a new one with those back.
after reading what you guys have been talking, considering more companies are turning into exclusivity, monetising the basic service component that everyone uses, playing with their power, i have also decided to make a post about this. below, i will share part of my findings from elsewhere to explain the current situation of Reddit. forgive me that i might not be able to have everything at once.
so the context from what i have heard from the flyer, is that Reddit is now changing the API pricing, removing API from mature content, lowering limits for third-party apps we commonly use.
speaking of the new API standard, so much as Twitter now requiring people paying for certain API and then requiring monthly fees.
regarding premium access that is to be introduced, i want to throw out a simple question: why would they want another paycheck when other advertisers and premium users could literally cover those instead of optimising the servers' technology stack to decrease the unneeded cost?
the reason is simple, exclusivity and profits. it has been a while that this narrative that "if you don't pay for the service, you're the product." however, the same reason, they are moving to a trend that not only having it worsened no matter you have paid or not, you are not given any choices and are required to subscribe to a complete service that is supposed to be free, while removing essential communication features like forum or email things. which means the need of money is debunked to certain extent.
now look at some examples from elsewhere. on YouTube, the monetisation threshold is that they want to bring a better content creation platform. but if you search certain terms like free game credits live (which is obviously a scam), you can see several channels with monetisation enabled and you can even send a super chat for it. not only smaller creators having to race for that, it's no way you can survive without those tools. if you know how to use bots, you could spam people with traffics and chats with absolute ease. which has actually increased the use of bots (when they were supposed to decrease it), because it's actually hard to have organic traffic nowadays even for certain talented creators.
now it comes to the apps. if you use Reddit on your phone web, the website pursues you to use their app per 2~3 hours (see the video below). if you are a website developer, nowadays you do have tools being optimised for mobile web, allowing the entire app being run on a website with second-to-zero tradeoffs in terms of performances and features.
when they want you to use apps instead, they want to introduce another monetisation model, they want a more complete tracking through apps, considering you could block trackers with ease using a browser.
take a look at the Windows 11's interface? even for the latest Windows 10, it is full of data tracking, advertisements, and even hardware DRMs on plain sight. not only going worse, they are moving forward to the exclusivity like Reddit does. how bad it is? even Valve has been developing Linux compatibility for a while.
the second one is that they are removing the mature content from their API. it has been for a while that they are locking guests out from accessing. what i find is that is traumatising legal users' safety with their real-life identity verification, more than it is even meant to protect children from those abuse. here is a video explaining:

in short, it's all about censorship and letting bots ramping up to do it, mature content is just a pretext. it is a matter of time all other services you use will do the same.
remember the day that the "place" sub was a thing? remember how a large chunk of people drew 2B's ass and then got immediately deleted in the form of black pixels? so at the end of the day, if Reddit isn't going to back down, we should find a way to double down, whether everyone leaving from it or getting banned all at once is going to work.

the last one is about your daily lives that has been relevant to this. notice how they are slowly changing the system against the users, often because they have all the cards that they are betting you are going to stay at the end of day. they are trying to change it into a subscription service so that they are always profitable, and less likely they will need to innovate to compete.
Twitter's Blue verification process, it was meant to have those bots or false identity less likely to spam by demanding payment of so, but i have seen certain bots paying for that and also being able to take advantage of. if you knew how those works, you could significantly decrease the cost of doing so, as well as being prioritised.
look at YouTube after they introduced their Premium. if you don't pay for it, more likely you suffer a long series of advertisements that may not even be relevant to anything you are watching, and sometimes, it's a literal scam. meaning they are doing things specifically to pressure you pay for it, even though paying for channel payments like super chats would charge a 30% fee.
Adobe, a company that pioneered what we call it subscription-based software. it is the leader of the entire content-creation industry, and their Creative Cloud is $55 per month. if you don't have enough money to start with, you're practically ineligible to it. what happens if you end up a loss that you cannot afford that payment at the time? things do happen.
Twitch made one of the most controversial policy ever on the recent few days, and the huge backlash has basically forced them to at least apologise about it. however, it has been notorious that they would charge people 50% of what audiences have paid, and then often sudden ban or double standard.
i don't think boycotting will work, considering it is a coordinated threat towards the people, don't assume that any words will make then listen. every time the backlash ended, they will silently impose all those things. so as soon as any alternatives become suitable, copy all the posts to that place as an archive and go on there.

I'd like to preface that this is mostly a vent/rant over a situationship that just recently ended (today). And I'd also like to preface that I know that I am not in the right here either and I have made my fair share of mistakes in this. This situation has been so completely draining and exhausting and I need a space to vent and look for advice.
I (24F) met him (33M) when I was 20 and he was 30 off of tinder. We clicked immediately. We could talk for hours non stop, going down conversational rabbit holes, we shared a lot of the same interests, had many of the same values and beliefs whether religious, political, or otherwise. We spoke on the same intellectual level and I felt truly seen and understood by this man. I fell for him quickly. A few months after meeting, things got physical and we were even more compatible on that level in a way I hadn't known before.
Then things started getting a little fishy. He told me about his roommate who also happened to be his ex. But swore up and down that there was nothing going on. I thought that he wouldn't have brought it to my attention if he was trying to hide it. I ended up enlisting in the Navy and shipped out to boot camp, during which he wrote me letters and answered the few calls I was allowed to have. I never had anyone in my life support me and tell me they were proud of me as much as he did.
When I was done with basic, reality struck. I looked at his "ex's" facebook and saw a post about their 5 year anniversary. I confronted him about it and told her what was going on. He called crying and saying that things were pretty much over but due to her mental issues of always threatening suicide, he had a hard time calling things off completely. He said it was over, and I believed him.
We spent the next 6 months talking everyday with phone calls and video chats. It got to the point of him talking about wanting to propose to me, and I was thrilled. In unrelated events, i was discharged early and was sent back home. He picked me up from the airport, but things were off.
Over the next 5 months after that, he barely talked to me, we saw each other maybe 3 times, and I was fighting him more about why he wasn't making time to see me. One night, I woke up sobbing and I knew. They were back together. I messaged her in the morning and she confirmed. I blew up his phone and he ghosted me.
I was an absolute wreck. I truly thought I was going to marry this man. He was my best friend and I felt like we were perfect for each other. I entered therapy to help the grieving as well as to work on childhood traumas.
A year and a half later, I reached out to him looking for closure. He answered all of my questions and then our conversation got sidetracked and we started catching up like old friends. Soon enough, we were back to talking everyday. I knew the pain he put me through, but it felt like he had changed. And I can't tell you how much I missed his friendship. I have yet to meet another person on earth who is the same level as autistic as me who I don't have to mask for and can truly be myself with and feel totally accepted. It's a hard thing to let go of.
The more we talk, the more our original connection resurfaces. But I refused to ask the question. And he refused to bring it up. Until we were meeting up and physical again. And I found out they were still together. I instantly tried to set boundaries of him needing to be honest with her and hold himself accountable. That I didn't want to do anything else again. But I was weak and let things continue.
Over and over again I fought with him, and he was once again telling me how much he wanted to be with me and that he wanted to marry me and that he loved me and that he was going to figure it all out. Months go by, I'm trying to trust him because I really didn't think he would stay in my life if he wasn't serious about committing to me.
I kept pushing him to be honest with her and I kept pushing him to hold boundaries and to stop making me hold them for him because they weren't ones I wanted to hold and shouldn't have had to. I called everything off and said if he wanted to see me again, he needed to tell her everything.
So he did. And right before he did he told me he still wanted to be with me. But they talked and he decided to stay with her. But he did not tell her everything.
I took a month to grieve the future I had wanted with him, thinking we could figure out how to be friends with everything out in the open. Which is what he concluded with saying he wanted. We scheduled a video chat for one month and I told him he needed to make sure to clear it with her and to be fully transparent with her about everything from here on out.
One month goes by, I'm excited to talk to him because I did miss our friendship most of all. And on the day of, he doesn't message all day. I reached out to her thinking that he was no longer allowed to talk to me and she had no clue about the video chat. He hadn't told her. He finally called around 7pm and I chewed him out for not telling her, to which he said he forgot. We chatted for a bit but I was still pissed that he crossed that boundary.
Over the weekend, she started asking me proof for everything for the first time. And I gave her everything she wanted. I had all of the receipts. But she didn't care. She stayed.
I told him that in order for us to have a friendship, I would like accountability on his part for the pain he caused me through leading me on and making me think he wanted to be with me. That I couldn't sweep everything under the rug without him putting in effort to apologize and build trust that he wouldn't cross my boundaries again.
He didn't. 2 weeks go by and I barely hear from him. He doesn't respond to my messages and is just overall ignoring me. So I tell him I'm over it and I'm gone. And then he finally starts to respond and starts playing the victim, telling me to just leave then and don't look back.
I explained that it wasn't fair that I have spent months and years filling his cup, providing him with love and encouragement and playing the part of his girlfriend, initiating everything from visits to phone calls, for him to not even give any effort to mend things for the friendship he said he wanted. And that overall if he wanted to be in my life he needed to go to therapy and be capable of putting effort into the friendship.
He went on to say that all he ever wanted was a friend. Well, friends don't sleep with each other and tell them they want to marry them. And he was mad that I was doing it over text when I asked him over and over and over again in that conversation to just call me. He didn't.
So I let go of the person I felt safest with. I feel like I lost everything. While he kept his girlfriend and says his relationship has never been better after I forced him to stop cheating on her- he was fine with letting it continue and it would've if I hadn't stopped it.
I don't understand why she stays. I don't understand why I am so attached. I don't understand why someone would go out of their way to hurt the people they claim to care about like this. Not just once, but repeatedly. I feel like I'm left with nothing while he still has everything.
If you're still hear, thanks for reading my vent. It's been a rough few years. My general question is, do you have any advice that you can give me to move on from this?
TL;DR I was the other woman for 3 and a half years. When I found out, I tried to stop but it was hard due to the false promises of marriage and a relationship and the connection we had.

Hi friends I’m wanting to try and get advice on the cheapest way to buy bulk Pokémon cards in Australia, and I thought maybe Reddit would have some ideas. Money is tighter than it’s ever been for us right now.
My kid pulled a couple of cards he really loved recently after I found some old packs of unopened cards in a box in the back of a wardrobe at Nanna’s house.
He pulled a rainbow charizard and he was absolutely THRILLED. He had a shoe box of cards he’s collected over the last 4 years, he had two large folders of holos and rares and even a bunch of his dads original cards and a few Japanese cards. Thousands of dollars worth of cards, easily. Every cent he has been given over the last 4 years has been spent on Pokémon cards.
So, being excited, he decided to take his folder and his shoe box to school. We allowed the shoe box, but he was suppose to leave the folders with the most expensive/rarer cards at home. Unfortunately, he’s 10 years old, adhd/ASD, and doing what he’s told isn’t always his strong suit.
At school he’s been having trouble with a bully, and she thought it would be hilarious to break into the classroom and steal his cards from the teachers desk during lunch break and throw his box of cards down a third floor stairwell and then take his folders and pour an entire 2L bottle of Coca Cola over them from the top of the stairwell, and down to on the cards she had tipped on the stairs.
Most of his cards are now destroyed and he is beyond devastated. He has about 40 cards left that he’s managed to save out of hundreds, possibly thousands. The bully was suspended for two days and will spend the next semester using her breaks to participate in charity/community work with the principal. The bully’s family are fairly well known locally and don’t have a lot of money due to… let’s call them “known extracurricular activities” 🙃 so suing them for the damage and asking for replacements etc isn’t going to do us any good unfortunately, and in all honesty I feel bad for the bully to a point for having to try to survive through what she goes through at home. It’s just… sad.
The school of course cannot replace the ruined cards or really do anything except tell my son he shouldn’t bring expensive items to school because nobody can guarantee their safety, which he should already know, his teacher had the cards in her desk because Pokémon cards are a banned item for exactly this reason.
I’d really appreciate any advice at all on how to buy bulk cards across all sets as cheap as possible in Australia. I don’t have much money right now, but I’m so heartbroken for him, I need to do something. I know I’m not going to be able to replace the incredible cards he had but I want to do what I can to give him something. He’s a good kid and he deserves good things. He has been so quiet since it happened, not playing his PlayStation with his friends or doing anything much outside of just watching videos under his blanket in bed when he gets home each day. :( I feel so devastated for him.

I'm sure by now people have broken Owl down and figured out how everything works, but man do the in-game ability descriptions etc frustrate me to no end.
The english localization of this game has always been a bit 'off' where some descriptions feel awkwardly worded or even a bit misleading at times, but the description for Owl's stuff is by far the worst it's ever been.
Every time I see the word 'Astro' while playing this character my brain wants to SHUT DOWN. Why couldn't they just use different words for the Scrolls, 3-Square Grid, and Secondary Ability than 3 words that all use 'Astro' with the second part of the words not at all helping to clear things up. When I saw the word 'Astroaspect' for the first time I would have NEVER assumed that it meant the scroll icon in the 3-square Grid, Astrohouse is the only one of the three that I automatically connected to what it actually was.
Am I crazy or does this character feel impossible to understand for anyone else? Just to give another example, here are a few questions I still have even after reading multiple explanation threads, watching videos, and so on.

1. Does the probability of the Astroaspects impact the Astroaspects you get from Astroforecast or does it just impact what your Astrohouse automatically fills in when you cast Falling Stars without three Astroaspects filling the Astrohouse (see how confusing just this question looks?)
   
2. The three configurations the Owl's passive have for auto-upgrading scrolls, AKA the Normal Least, Rare Most, and Legendary Most, how do they ACTUALLY work? From my understanding Normal Least means upgrading scrolls however it needs to for there to be the fewest amount of Normal Scrolls remaining, Rare Most means the most Rare Scrolls possible, and same with Legendary Most. Is that Correct? ALSO, does the ability only Upgrade Scrolls to the next Rarity, or can a Normal Scroll become Legendary?
   
3. The Ascension that gives +10 Weapon DMG per 'slot'. Does 'slot' mean level of this Ascension AKA grabbing the Ascension at first give +10% DMG, then upgrading it to LVL 2 = +20 DMG, and so on, or does 'slot' mean something else?
   
4. I know it depends on the build, but do I want to be saving my Falling Stars for when I get a good sequence of three from using Astroforecast, or does that only matter when my probabilities are low and stops mattering as much as they go up?
   

This character BASICALLY boils down to 'hurr durr cast cards and 'gamble' on getting lucky with good Falling Star procs' but that playstyle is hidden underneath paragraphs of poorly worded descriptions and keywords that only make things more confusing. It was never this bad with any other character, and it just frustrated me to no end when I was trying to understand the character while playing with friends in a run tonight.

This post will probably be long and messy because it's just a lot of things I've wanted to get out for a while.
I met my fiancé when we were 14, we've now been together for 11 years and have a daughter together. We are textbook definition high school sweethearts. He is a perfect partner and I truly mean that. I got along with his family from day dot. They were so welcoming and kind to me. I used to go over every Wednesday for dinner after school - they would always alter their dinners to be vegetarian for me - and most Friday's for takeaway night - always their shout. I got along with his Mum the best. Whenever we would go over there for dinner after my fiancé and I moved out together, my fiancé would hang out with his two brothers and I would hang out with his Mum. Chatting about anything and everything. She truly was a second mum to me.
God, I can't even pin point when the brainwashing started. It started with leaning toward natural remedies and healthy eating, I think? You know the harmless - Cook with coconut oil instead of olive oil, vitamin D can improve mental health etc. Harmless and true, with a grain of salt, things that just seemed like she was sharing them because she cared about and loved us.
Like many people, things spiralled when COVID-19 hit. We are in Australia so we were incredibly lucky that we weren't as devastated as many other countries. It started at our usual weekly dinners talking about how awful the lockdowns were, how it sucked wearing a mask etc. I would agree but more on the basis that it sucks wearing a mask and I miss going to the pub - not that I thought the government was taking over. It slowly seemed to spiral into other conspiracies. The light hearted natural remedy chats warped into rants of chemtrails and governments poisoning our food. I'm not confrontational so usually I would just smile and nod not really reciprocating conversation. Fiancé's relationship with his father deteriorated around this time for numerous reasons - partially conspiracy bullshit, partially childhood issues.
Then I got pregnant. We were of course COVID, flu & dTAP vaccinated, none of his family were (Dad, Mum or 2 brothers). As the pregnancy progressed it was hanging over my fiancé and I of... what would we do when baby was born because we had been advised to not let unvaccinated people around baby and being someone with bad genetic asthma - this was not something to compromise on. My heart was breaking for my fiancé as every time we lightly discussed the topic, it's like neither of us wanted to say 'they can't meet baby for THREE WHOLE MONTHS'. But, I think we both thought/hoped that once discussed with his Mum, she would be willing to get the vaccines in order to meet her first grandchild. Fiancé's Dad was out the picture at this point so his stance was irrelevant to us but fiancé and his Mum and really close so I know it meant A LOT to him. Fiancé decided to have the conversation with her while I was working as we decided it wasn't my place to be involved in the discussion. At work, I got a message from my partner saying she broke down crying but in the end - wasn't willing to compromise. Baby was born in October and she has since met her, come over a handful of times with her mum (fiancé's nana) and comes to every second swim class (about 5 in total). But that's all the involvement from his family. His brother's (who he was once REALLY close with prior to cutting Dad out the picture), haven't even contacted us to ask about her let alone wanting to meet her, Dad hasn't reached out - but no shock there. Dad has told his entire side of the family that we have 'cut them off' because they won't get vaccinated - which is a lie.
Since then, MIL is continuing to spiral. She follows tonnes of hateful pro-Trump/pro-republican Instagram pages (keep in mind that we are Australian...), she goes down rabbit holes of all celebrities being paedophiles and most recently has been sending us videos of Barbara O'Neill talking about how putting Cayenne pepper in your socks to increase blood flow an using it as a blood thinning medication substitute(?!?!?!). I, to the most of my ability being a pushover people pleaser, snapped. I told her that I don't take anything that woman says seriously after the misinformation she spread about infant nutrition and that she put babies at risk - she sent laughing emojis and said she loves her. I wanted to keep it polite for my fiancé's sake, so I just said that I think she's 'a danger to the community' and 'let's leave it at that', she went on a rant about the government bribing doctors and big pharma bullshit. I reiterated that we would agree to disagree. I feel like this has been the straw that broke the camels back. I won't ever trust her to watch our daughter. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable our next conversation will be.
I am so angry and bitter and fucking heartbroken. My partner is the most incredible man, loving father and god damn beautiful person and his brothers have let him down, his dad is useless and his mum is disappearing down the rabbit hole right in front of us and there is nothing we can do.
To be honest, I think I just needed to get this all out because I don't know what to do. I support my partner as best I can but that mostly just means not talking about it. If you're still reading, thanks for listening to my rambling.

I (24M) have been going out with my girl (23F) for just over 5 years now, we've had a good start but it slowed down tremendously. In these years we went from seeing each other in the UNI almost everyday to graduating and seeing each other only a couple times a month to maybe once every three or so months when we lived two blocks apart. I'm not sure what happened, but things got worse from there, our communication gap increased, she doesn't reply very often, and I'm not here to sit for her one sec replies, ofc everyone needs their time but I'm talking even in important conversations she would leave midway and come back later and give me the silliest of the reasons. Anyways, so her parents are orthodox so she can't exactly tell them that she's dating me, so we're stuck in an infinite loop where she won't talk to them and if she don't we can't see each other, don't get time to talk to each other (via texts) because her and my work times are very different so it's difficult to talk in between but when we can she says her parents don't like her being on the phone too much, this chick is independent, earning, and capable and this is the thing she's going through at her place. Our relationship is drying up, it's been sexless, I've tried being intimate, but we rarely see each other so we can't do anything and she has anxiety in coming over to my place even after my parents being very welcoming and knowing our situation, although I don't go asking her over and over because I know it'll add to her insecurities but it is a problem, 5 years I've had no physical relation her with, we have done most of what any close friends could do. And with the communication gap (never calls, or video calls only text) she's not been able to support me mentally either because we had developed a relationship where I would share my thoughts with her but not anymore. I had to move places and now live about an hour ish far from her and now it's even worse that we can't see each other even more than we couldn't.
I know I am not to look for beneficial things in a relationship but this has been a very one way feeling recently, all the reasons she gives me feels like excuses, I feel like an option and not a priority. Currently all she wants to do is earn money, idk if she has anything to do with me anymore. She even agreed she never has sexual desires, she texts me very rarely and only when she wants. I love her dearly and I know she has feelings too but this is taking a big toll on my head, do I give it up?

The Main Goal:
Well if you’re browsing this subreddit then much like me, you were alone this weekend and I’m sure you’d like to change that as much as me. I won’t lie, I am going through a rough part of my life right now. It’s difficult for me to find the energy for anything at the moment and I’m just really seeking affection in general, anything that will give me a push. I don’t want to be that person who brings everyone down but I could really use someone to talk to right now. I’d really like to find someone who’s similar to me so much to the point that we do everything together and talk about everything while not having to pretend to be interested. I want someone with whom we can mutually spew our emotions onto and have those feelings reciprocated. Not an emotional punching bag, but an emotional teddy bear to hug and cuddle until everything feels better as many times as we need. There’s people who I’m sure have told you the same, they’ll be there no matter how many times you need the support, no matter how many times the insecurities and bad thoughts come back but they don’t mean it. I will be the exception, I’m not so ignorant to think some nice words and tales of relating to you will magically forever heal whatever ails you then get mad when you seek the same support again. Mental ailments are rarely temporary and I don’t care about someone because they’re perfect, caring about someone means being there no matter how many times they need you to be. It doesn’t feel like a chore, it doesn’t get old, and it never will.

Relationship:
A relationship is difficult for me right now, it’s been nearly half a year since I got out of my last relationship and the reasons for it ending are partially responsible for how I’ve been feeling and why it’s so hard for me to seek the comfort I so desperately crave. I will tell you about it but for the sake of not treating the entirety of the internet as my therapist, it’ll be in private. I really need the comfort of intimacy and the warmth of someone who cares. I'm not going to feel better if I just sulk and don’t move on. This is my attempt to get better, I’ll admit I’m not great right now and I don’t expect you to be either. If we can help each other heal, then I’d be more than happy :) A relationship isn’t just being there for when someone’s at their best. Even if a relationship is hard at the moment, I do want a life partner and I don’t want to be alone. Things aren’t going to get easier without you so I don’t want to hesitate. I view my other as an equal, I don’t like categorizing us into specific roles. We take care of each other and treat each other how we like to be treated, whatever that is, it's as simple as that. I don't care if you're "successful" or not, living simple lives with our days filled with love is the ultimate measure of success to me.

On the Surface:
As you can tell I can be rather… stoic but that’s largely due to my current stressors, I truthfully am goofy and fun loving but I just can’t find it in me right now. I want to return to that but without someone to light up my world it’s been difficult to just have fun and enjoy stuff. I’m definitely more introverted, you won’t catch me at any parties or really outside at all. I definitely prefer being home though the occasional outing is not out of the question and one day I’d like to travel to other countries because I think that kind of perspective is important.

The Core of My Being:
I like being a spectator to it all and if we bear witness to humanity burning or its miraculous recovery, I want to watch it with you. I enjoy watching humanity advance, less so when it devolves but I want to watch it to the end nonetheless. I’m both a realist and someone who lives with my head in the clouds dreaming of scenarios or worlds that don’t exist. I’m saying that I enjoy a good narrative and can suspend my disbelief to enjoy something but you won’t catch me refusing vaccines or ignoring blatant facts for the sake of some pseudo science or witch doctor’s remedy. I’m an atheist but I do not rule out existence after death, not because I’m agnostic but because due to the nature of potentially infinite time at some point after how many googol years with a googol amount of 0s after that, something’s bound to replicate your consciousness perfectly at some point. It’s actually a really fascinating topic I like talking about. If infinite time and infinite possibilities exist, does non existence exist? Though that’s an awfully existentially dreadful thought process considering the ramifications of infinite existence and infinite possibilities during said infinite existence. I would say I’m confidently left leaning and I don’t think I could truly get along with anyone right leaning, at least America’s definition of right leaning. Left and right seems to have just become; do people deserve to suffer or do they deserve to live good lives? Being political is not something I expected to become but how can you not be when crimes against human rights are being passed on a daily basis and at the end of the day, everything’s political. Oftentimes I imagine the perfect moment as relaxing with my significant other playing games or cuddling in a cold room under blankets.
I value that special someone above all of the existential thoughts, the bad of the world, the good of the world, they practically become my world. So many worries wash away when I’m with them. I don’t know if that’s the defense mechanism my brain created to not feel bad 24/7 but if it is, I’m currently without it.

Insecurities:
I talk of philosophy and politics here but really I spend most of my time just playing games, watching stuff, and trying to not be sleep deprived. I’m also nowhere near as well spoken, heck sometimes I feel like my speech is broken. I won’t claim to be something I’m not, I sit at home while I complain about the world doing nothing about it wishing I had someone here with me. I’m not noble nor do I really want to be, I have morals I uphold but much like most other hypocrites I acknowledge that my comfortable life is built on the suffering of others without doing anything about it. Why? My sleep problems? Am I depressed? Is that why I have no energy to do anything? Do I just think nothing I could do could help? I can’t nail it down myself, maybe it’s a mix of everything, maybe I’m just a bad person. I have always told myself that if I had wealth I would help people but if I get that kind of wealth will I just become a wealth hoarder who tries to justify my riches as something I earned rather than something given to me through incredibly lucky circumstances? If I do help people is it because I’m a good person or out of guilt? Will I die alone? I feel like I drive everyone away with my clinginess, I get paranoid often and need reassurance often. It’s something I want to work on, something I’ve been trying to work on. Hearing that someone cares about me just never gets old. I value self awareness even if it’s painful.

Socializing:
I’m definitely a socially anxious/awkward mess, especially around strangers. I do feel a large amount of anxiety in public, people can’t tell by looking at my face since I kind of go stone faced in an attempt to block everything out but yeah you’ll notice that if we go out in public. Growing up my pediatrician said I was probably autistic, never got a formal diagnosis so that’s just great. But yeah that explains why I can’t make eye contact with people, I kinda just stare at the ground and avoid their gaze at all costs. A lot of these social struggles go away to a great degree once I know you for a bit but yeah I apologize for how terrible I am at socializing at first. Don’t let my social struggles fool you though, I love cuddling and being close with my person.

Sexuality:
I am a heterosexual male, though I’m not very masculine like at all. I may even be a bit feminine sometimes. Not that I believe any activity or manner of acting belongs to a gender but I don’t know how else to describe it. I’m definitely super affectionate and love it when my partner is too. I am open to dating demi people but I do have a libido so I don't think asexual would work out.

Video Games:
As stated before, I do spend a lot of my time playing video games. It’s been hard lately with me having no energy but I really do want to play more games and have a good time playing them with you! I primarily play on PC though I do have a switch. I’m primarily into platform fighters, roguelikes, open world, survival, and sandbox games. As for single player story games, I enjoy watching them through twitch or youtube but for the most part I don’t play them myself. I’d watch you play them though!

I recently got Kerbal Space Program 2 and ehhh not really worth it right now but hopefully later it will be? I’m super excited for Tears of the Kingdom! In the far off future I’m excited for Rivals of Aether 2 which is a platform fighter releasing in 2024, let me know of your most anticipated releases and I’ll see if I could play them with you!
Also I never got into FPS games but I could totally see myself playing like CoD with you or Escape From Tarkov. Any FPS really, I’m down.
I am a fan of Pokemon but with how things have been lately I don’t know how long that will last. Pixelmon is a common Pokemon mod I play for Minecraft if you want to play that! Also if I say I want to play something with you I mean it but there are often times when no matter how much I want to I'm just drained and can do little more than lay in bed so please don't think I'm making an excuse.

Science:
I really enjoy keeping up with the latest advances in pretty much everything, it could be biology, technology, astronomy, anything! I love seeing progression and I love talking about it! Really I could go on and on about what I’m obsessing about that day. I particularly love technology, ask me for my laptop specs I dare you. When I was little I always wanted to be a scientist of any kind but then insomnia and fear of college stuff hit me like a truck aaaand that’s the end of that dream.

I’m not going to go on and on about the tiniest little things when the main ones are covered but I’ll watch pretty much any show with you and anything really. I like random youtube videos that explain some kind of lore or mystery, sometimes mini documentaries too.
As for food I looove sushi and I’m a sucker for fast food. Okay and candy, definitely candy.
I used to play tennis but haven’t really had the opportunity nor friends to play it with and I’m way too socially anxious to seek it out. Also I will say that when we move to something like discord I type waaaay more casually. I’m not going to expect long paragraphs back and forth like we’re writing English papers for each other, I do enjoy long conversations but seriously don’t worry about having to put the utmost effort into every response, I just like making good first impressions I guess.

My Physical Characteristics:
I’m 5’8 (172cm), 128 pounds (58kg), with curly brown hair and blue eyes. I like keeping my hair long in the winter and cutting it in the summer. I’m pretty slim in general so if you’re looking for someone large, that’s not me. I don’t work out but my work is pretty physical so at least I’m not totally inactive. I don’t have the urge to work out or gain muscle but I do want to maintain my slim figure so if I start losing control of that I’ll work out. I like to keep my face shaved because I don’t think I look good with a beard/mustache so if you’re into those I apologize. I have an average amount of body hair? I’d prefer to be completely shaved but it’s easy to lose motivation with that battle, if you prefer shaved then I’d have no problem complying. My Physical Preferences:
Having physical preferences makes me feel shallow, if I could make myself not have them I would but unfortunately that’s now how that works. I don’t care if you’re shorter or taller than me and I don’t care if you weigh more or less than me. All I ask is that you’re slim-average weight. I would never ask for someone to be something I’m not. I don’t care about tattoos or piercings.

Expectations of You:
I am not looking for someone “exciting” or someone to “keep me on my toes” I’m not looking for someone to cater to my every whim or anything like that. I don’t care if you’re “boring” or if you aren’t “successful”. I know it’s a common thing for people to not want a “boring” relationship and to seek something argumentative or something with constant challenges but I just want to be with you. During the exciting times, the boring times, and everything in-between, all of it will be great with you! Maybe we do argue sometimes or maybe there will be challenges but that will never be something I purposefully seek out and I don’t want that to be something you seek out either. I will not play tricks on you and I will not play mind games, I expect the same from you. We all have personal measures of success we may or may not have lived up to but what I care about most is our commitment to each other. If we have each other we can get through tough times, near the ends of our lives I want us to look back and feel that this life together was worth more than anything. That’s not saying I want us to be haphazard, I don’t want us to make poor decisions for the sake of yolo and I want us to always be rational, especially with each other. I want you to be someone I can trust to make decisions and weigh the options with a level head, I’ll try my best to live up to the same for you. Most of all I want empathy, understanding, someone to feel the utmost comfort and trust in.

Living Situation:
Currently my life is pretty relaxed, I work 3 times a week as a night shift stocker. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my roommate but we’re looking to move into someplace larger by the end of the year if everything works out. The internet is weirdly great for Ohio too like I have fiber and later this year we’re supposed to be getting dedicated fiber so that’s neat. I’m not attached to Ohio so the ultimate goal living location wise is probably moving to a country that won’t send you into a lifetime of dealing with the repercussions from one medical emergency.

- Wanting children, there was a time when I was younger when I wanted children but with the state of the word that’s a definite no and I feel like I wouldn’t be able to handle the stress. I’d love a stress free life with as much time with you as possible.

Closing Remarks:
Well you made it, I was thinking that finding someone I’d be willing to put a lifetime of effort into at least required this much effort. If I think of anything more I’ll update the post. Also about timezones, it really doesn’t matter where in the world you are. I don’t have a sleep schedule and I have most of the week off from work so it really doesn’t matter.
I request that in your response you do put effort into it, it doesn’t have to be anywhere near as long as this but at least enough so I know that you read this and enough about you so I know why you saw potential compatibility. I will seriously read all of it and respond the best I can.
