Why is dark weak to bug

Ahoy everyone! I hope you're doing well.
When people read texts like the Corpus Hermeticum or Asclepius, what with all the talk of “God”, it’s not uncommon for them to think that Hermeticism is some kind of monotheistic spirituality, or some sort of "Christianity Lite". It’s a common-enough thing to wonder and ask about (especially as evidenced by a number of posts or comments on this subreddit), but a simple surface reading of part of the classical Hermetic texts doesn’t describe the whole situation accurately.
In truth, Hermeticism is a polytheistic form of mysticism, and the Hermetic texts are a product of a polytheistic people writing for a polytheistic audience; not only do the Hermetic texts explicitly state that multiple gods exist, but they outright encourage our worship of them. However, the focus in Hermeticism is not on the gods, but on God—and yet, perplexingly, God is not a god, and the reason why so much of the Hermetic texts talk about God is to try to make out exactly what God is if not a god. What Hermeticism is is fundamentally a form of monist mysticism, but it’s easy to conflate monism with monotheism.

I have been going to therapy with an Addiction Specialist trying to uncover the root causes as to why I drink. She suggested a boot called There is Nothing Wrong With You by Cheri Huber. Wow!! Really eye opening.

TL;DR: Taking care of new creatures, new areas and interactions to explore, new ways of training with your companions, won't add power creep and is not too complex to add into the game and fit its lore. Here's why Taming is one of the best OSRS skill ideas!
Uuuuh... Summoning who?
I noticed that in the discussions of what skill pitch is the best, taming has received the shorter end of the stick, but today I wanted to rebate most of the points made against Taming and show how it might offer much, much more than what we are thinking.
To start off, here are the main points we should consider from the pre recorded live stream:

• The main focus of the skill is to give the creatures you capture and tame their own personalities, and not just keep them as "tools"
  
• Training this skill would not revolve into "capture creature, release it, repeat" but would focus on actually taming it, caring for it, and doing activities it might enjoy (for example, a bear could enjoy fishing, so you would gain taming XP by letting your bear pet fish salmon near Barb Village. That's where the meta would lie, instead of what hunting is mostly about).
  
• The incentive for Taming a creature isn't to just "do your normal activities but now with a random animal following you" like we have with the actual pets we currently have in game, but to do their very own activities they might enjoy. So, instead of just repeating an agility course, you could guide your creature to do it on its own or with other players.
  

Now that we have these points highliged, let's talk about the main points AGAINST Taming:

• Taming should just be an expansion to Hunting

. First of all... Taming and hunting are two opposite things. And while it's true that some hunting methods use other animals, I believe that only shows how much good Taming could do to the game and other skills in the game as its own skill instead of just an expansion. The idea of having all these old and new creatures coming to the game with their own personalities and preferences opens so many doors for new hunting methods, but not just hunting... Maybe even fishing, woodcutting, farming, agility, and many more! As they said in the blog, they have the fangs, the wings, maybe even the size to do things we are unable to do. So by letting this skill be its own thing, we open the doors for animals and other magical creatures to show us the way THEY interact with the world we play in!

• I don't want to see a bunch of animals following everybody everywhere in the overworked

. While that's understandable, we need to remember that the Devs have all ears on us. If we don't want the game to be overcrowded with pets, they can maybe show only in designated areas, maybe they only appear when you interact with them... we can make our voices heard about this. But I personally see potential with letting one of our companions walk beside us. As Mod Husky put it: These creatures could have their own walking and idle animation based on their personality and how loyal they are to you.

• What if it changes combat? I don't want Taming to be like Summoning!

. This is a bit of a grey area right now. But if we don't want these companions to intervene in Combat, they won't. Maybe they could have their own combat system that would work with other companions as a way to interact with other players's companions all Pokémon style, who's to say! But from what I've seen, they don't plan on making combat be the focus of this skill, the focus is in creating a long lasting bond with your creatures.

• I don't like the idea of having to stop everything just to feed my pet or having to keep inventory spaces just to not le them die

. Thankfully the Mod team knows that this is not good game design, and plan on making it so that the caring part of Taming be its own activity that you engage with IF you want to. It won't punish you if you don't do it, like your cat leaving you just because you didn't pet it once every 5 minutes. We don't know how this new system will look like yet, but we can be assured that they won't make it the same as old Jagex did back in the early 2000's.
Well then, why should you vote for taming and not for Shamanism or Sailing?

• It won't add power creep: While shamanism has a large focus on it being used for combat with the use of boosts and upgrades to your gear (Sailing also has some combat aspects, but it sounds more like a way to interact with other players inside of the skill), Taming has no intention of changing how combat works in the game! As said previously, assisting you in combat was just one of the many ideas talked about for the skill, not the driving point. So this can simply not be added if the skill is chosen.
  
• It's not complex and can easily fit and evolve within OSRS: I know, Sailing sounds like a really cool concept... In paper. I personally have this feeling that adding sailing and having to do all these workarounds to make this skill fit and work properly in OSRS sounds like a nightmare! Taming would be a lot easier to implement within the game's mechanics and, in my opinion, opens just as many doors for expansion as Sailing does
  
• It's not a buyable skill: Taming would require you to care and interact with your companions in very different ways and places, not just buying a thing and doing a thing forever. Sorry bank standers...
  
• It's old school!: I mean, what is more old school in gaming than getting a pet and caring for it and making it stronger?
  
• It's not a production (or gathering) skill: that's it, I have nothing more to add.
  

With this said I believe I covered most complaints about the skill. Of course you can just not like the concept or the theme of the skill, that's perfectly fine. But even if you don't like it, I think it's important to acknowledge how much good Taming could bring to the game!
Being able to tame creatures, befriending them, training their abilities and seeing them interacting with the world in never seen before ways, doing their own activities or even aiding you on your own... The opportunities are limitless!
I hope I was able to convince you guys that Taming is a lot more than what some are giving it credit. Nevertheless, good luck getting the skill you wish for!

It’s always the big question I get when I talk to SPEs from other art units. But I also noticing that more of our veteran primaries are retiring and as an experienced junior it worries me.
So I wanted to share why I am not a primary yet and start the conversation, knowing that management probably reads this and is wondering the same damn thing. Also I couldn’t get to the PEER group so here goes.
1) The program is too damn hard.
To be honest, I have years upon years of office actions you can look at and see my quality of work- several accolades and a near perfect BOA record. I don’t want to have to be evaluated on some kind of arbitrary time frame. A year and a half of me being angry at my family because of this stress is not worth it. Consider evaluating my work now- and tell me if I qualify for partial sig (automatically, because auto counting was a thing!) and then put me on a program for full sig instead if I choose to.
2) GS-14 workload is too much.
I really don’t want to have to drop down to part time just to be fully successful. Right now, I work a little OT and I’m happy. It makes life easier and I do feel like I have more control over my life.
But to be fair- the PAP makes quality so much more work with the scope of the art that we have to deal with as a result of tech improvement (controllers and AI). Not to mention issues with CPC and issues with poor docketing. We need more regular new cases for me to even consider this.

1. Pay is not commensurate with experience and the lack of comp time earning is also not helping.

Considering that I am looking at patent agent jobs in the 200-300k range in my art, at 15k bump is not worth it. Moreover, I can’t work comp time?
If you can’t pay me extra but I end up working extra: consider allowing us to earn extra comp time instead. There is a lot of talk about work life balance but no one has actually evaluated the fact that this work never ends. So the only kind of balance is being able to take full weeks off for docket management pauses and mental health breaks. During this time, as a primary I would still love to review other peoples cases.
But comp time. Why do we have to put limits on how much we earn at a GS-14 when there is already a cap on how much we can keep?

1. I really personally like the safety net of people reviewing my cases or having a person to chat with about tricky cases.

Even with my experience: I might just lack confidence. I think if directors looked at examiners that should be primaries and give them a heads up to just become them at the GS-13 level, it shouldn’t be that hard.
Finally: I think we should have primaries that just sign and review cases. The pressure of production with this job is unhealthy in the long run. But maybe a detail for each art unit to do just reviewing would be good and would encourage people to become spes in the end.
Hope I’m not the only one in this boat but also that the office seriously considers this or that people give feedback on how realistic/unrealistic this is.

I know trolling is funny but I think I'm getting matured and I find them very annoying,also,they love accusing people because of their "outfit" meanwhile they try to become funny by wearing unfunny food or some branded shit,they do nothing in their life but to lay don't in a sofa or sit in a chair 90 hours a day and play games 24/7,this is why kids are getting more dumber when it comes to school stuff,and I think they are probably teens or kids with ADHD

Hi everyone, I am beyond frustrated with the situation that I am about to explain and would greatly appreciate some of your perspective. I will try to keep it as short as possible, but the context is important.
On January 6th, 2021, my wife and I decided to move away from the area we were living. In our home, we had a water bubbler that we leased from a water delivery company. When we made the decision to move, I called the company and informed them that I needed to close my account because we were moving out of the area. So far, no problems. I informed my (then) landlord that this company would be coming by to pick up their equipment and that they would just need to be let in to the apartment (which was also not an issue). Everything seems to have gone smoothly.
About 9-10 months later, I noticed individual charges on my bank account for small amounts (around $5.00 each) for the previous 3 consecutive months. I figured it was some type of clerical error. Not a huge deal, I called the company explained that I no longer use their service and cancelled my account 9 months prior. After looking into it and agreeing, they issued me a refund for the 3 charges. I ask them to just make sure that my account is closed correctly so I am not charged again, to which they said it was.
Fast-forward again to the start of 2022 (around February), I notice another random singular charge from the same company. Again, i call them and get it straightened out and am issued another refund. Once again, I ask them to find out why this has happened twice and to MAKE SURE my account is closed. Once again, I am reassured that my account is closed and it would not happen again. At this point, it is a bit annoying but the charges were small amounts and they did not give me a hard time when I called them so not a huge deal.
Fast-forward once again, to the summer of 2022. Here we go again, another charge. By now, I get extremely frustrated. I call them again (while on vacation with my family) and give them an ear full. I am once again issued a refund and an apology and sent on my way.
That brings us to now. Last week, i received a letter in the mail from a debt collector attempting to collect a debt in the amount of about $250.00 for this water company. I have not contacted them yet because I am trying to decide how to handle this. My wife and I are getting ready to build our home this summer and I am worried that this will hurt my credit and have an impact on our loan.
I am livid and do not know 1)why this continues to happen or 2)what the best way to handle this is. I would greatly appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.

Ex broke up with me because of how I reacted to her bad days of depression and also struggling with mental health so a relationship was too draining for her right now. She was open to the idea of trying again in 6-12 months after both work on our issues.
Since the break up a week ago she still has photos on her instagram labelling me as boyfriend and she has been on there making changes since.
She also called me out on my instagram story when she saw I went to the cinema with friends being bothered about it saying that I didn’t appear bothered about the breakup
I also owed her a chunk of money for something we bought in our apartment which I paid in full in one go. She mentioned not expecting the full amount and wondered why I never messaged her when sending the money
I figured that I should show I’m getting on with life, enjoying myself and that at least she got her money and no message was needed
Is there a reason she’s bothered by this? Possibly still cares for me seeing as she’s open to idea of trying things again in future once we both resolve our issues etc, or possibly looking into this too much lol

All over Youtube, dynasty outlets are relaying that London is now a major sell high just because his KTC value is at wr10-11… Would reckon that the community has just caught up with the buy low and that’s why his value is so high.
The argument that he’s in a run first offense is true but he’s also only competing with an underutilized Pitts (The Offensive staff hasn’t changed ?). As well he started to put up good numbers once Ridder was starting, I get Pitts was out, But if anything, Mariota was holding him back. If London had 1K yards, maybe 1-2 more games with Ridder, I feel a lot of people would be all in on the value he holds.
Feels way too soon to be selling your London shares just because he didn’t have 150 more yards on the season with a QB who is now a back up. Sure, Ridder can be doubted on but I’m going to take Ridder over Mariota. And if Ridder doesn’t work out we’ve seen Heinicke get Terry Mclaurin the ball.
Anyways, what do you guys think on people now claiming to sell high on London ?

Hello, I’m going to put you all in a little bit of context, me and my gf been dating for over 8 months, and things are getting difficult. I’m a sensitive guy that I usually shuts in and is really difficult for me to open up since I grew with a single mom and I’m used to not bother my mom with my problems since she was always working and trying her best. So when I met her the communication was great but I still kept things for me, but even like that I have never met anyone that can make me talk without thinking and be myself without judging me. The thing is that she has anxiety and depression, and they have worsened since the beginning of the year, and I'm used to it, only when it got worse I was having a stressful time with work and I couldn't be there for her as usual. In the next 3 months we had fights and but we always sticked together no matter what, even once when we decided that it was over.
She went on a trip for a few weeks to visit her family. During all this time I have felt very lonely at home and I have closed in on myself again and that harms our communication, but still I try not to tell her that I feel bad. To not to ruin her trip. Yesterday she called me and we talked and she told me that she no longer felt that she could express herself freely since I’m strongly emotionally attached to her (my ex gf cheated on me and it’s been hard for me to trust) and I’m insecure even though I never told her anything about her having male friends and that she doesn't know if she wants to continue in the relationship even though she loves me.
She told me to wait until she come back, but it’s a lot of time (2 more weeks) until she comes back. But I don’t know if I can wait this much since each day is worst than the next. I write a lot in my notes so I’m going to copy and paste the note that I wrote yesterday since it describes how I feel, I’m sorry if it’s difficult to understand but I was really emotional at that time and english is not my first language, I appreciate any kind of advice.

Back around 2017, I'd shown up to a popular "hardcore" metal venue with nothing but a SansAmp for reasons that escape me.
It was niice. Even with the headliner's gear staged behind us, there was still room to move around and not trip over the bass mic. But I remember one of the lads at soundcheck being all like "Next time, bring a cab".
No? I've got a smaller car now than I did before the plague, and my cat just pissed on my smaller amp. Fuck that shit.
And I just LOVE bringing a rack with t̶h̶r̶e̶e̶ five separate direct outputs to shows and getting mic'd up anyway, and having to deal with the consequences.
The venue in question was one of those "if you're not wearing earplugs in the back, you're wrong"-type places with a good PA that can obviously handle DI bass. Monitoring was sufficient.

Overall the car got a really good bill of health.
1st issue that is just a maintenance thing, the rear break pads were low. Deal said the car is biased more to the rear and they see velosters go through pads (30k miles on mine).
2nd and 3rd issues might be related, the oil was runnier than expected and darker. I do the oil changes myself and know there is roughly 1200 miles on the oil and was done with full synthetic 5w-30 quaker state as the manual recommends. Issue is the runny oil which I am guessing is from moister in the engine since its winter and my drives are really short (5min to work). The potential related issue is the car gives off an oil smell every so often. Nothing concerning to the tech at the dealer but he noted it. I have noticed it while driving at times, usually when behind a vehicle that could be burning oil and passes when I am no longer behind them. Fairly weird.
Has anyone else experienced the oil smell/runny dark oil and have any recommendations?

I'm in an argument with my best friend and I'm wondering if I'm exaggerating.
It's about the way he keeps contact with his ex, but actually much more than that.
Background:
My ex was the best friend of my best friend's ex. We were sort of a group of four and did a lot together. Anyway, both relationships ended around the same time almost a year ago.
Neither relationship was particularly healthy, but while my ex and I broke off contact, my best friend and his ex kept in touch.
I had absolutely no problem with it at the time either, since it was his decision.
The relationship with my ex also ended because we had major intimacy issues. I was very much in love and depressed and suffered from the breakup.
I then learned that my best friend and his ex apparently exchanged a lot of gossip and also talked a lot about my ex's sex life. My best friend kept mentioning that "gross things" happened and that it was good that my relationship ended. I was suffering a lot at this point and it was already bothering me that they were exchanging so much gossip.
At some point, my best friend told me about my ex's sex stories:
She had sex in the office with her boss and with her best friend at a party. Before that, I already knew that she had two guys in one week after the breakup.
I was completely devastated because it was intimacy issues that led to the breakup.
My friend somehow thought it would confirm me in the breakup. Anyway, he had a guilty conscience and apologized. I then asked him to please NEVER talk about Gossip with his ex about my ex again.
Yet I kept finding out through hints that they were continuing it.
I got mad and he kept lying to me that he was going to cut off contact.
Because in the meantime, my best friend now had a new permanent girlfriend. My buddy is very jealous and would never accept his girlfriend keeping contact with the ex. That's why he also lied to his new girlfriend. He also still had sex with his ex and his new girlfriend at the same time (they were not in a relationship yet though)
I asked him this time to completely cut off contact with his ex because he really has no benefits from her and both me and his new girlfriend are burdened by it. He agreed and apologized.
Now his current girlfriend has finally found out that he still seems to be in contact with her after all. She asked me if „Ashley S. (made up Name) is his ex?“ I answered „yes why“? . He was then mad at me because he wanted me to lie to his new girlfriend but I didnt even now exactly what was going on.
Now I am considering cutting off contact with him. He told me he is only talking about trivial stuff with her but she seems to call him several times a week. And he sometimes talks about gossip stories he can only know from his ex. So I'm pretty sure that they still exchange information about my ex and I think this is just childish. This guy is 30 years old.
I was really mad and also called him names and said that he is a dirty lyer. He is mad now because in his mind he only talks to her every now and then. But then he should have just told me that he wants to keep in touch with her 100%.
We are very close friends, he knows alot of secrets about me and we talk to each other every single day and we go out every weekend. So I would loose an important part of my social life.
I really struggle because I know I cant control how he wants to stay in touch with his ex but it is the way he lies to his girlfriends and the fact that he doesnt benefit at all from his ex and knows how much it bothers me. He told his new gf his ex is a wh*re, so why is it so important to stay in touch with her?
