2023.06.09 16:04 Rainbowscarf_ Which to buy?

I’m big into Tf2 but not really the loot box/trade/MvM scene. I play a lot of casual and don’t really care much for cosmetics or weapons and very rarely will just buy cheap stuff that looks nice. Recently however I have gotten the urge to buy just one super gaudy show off weapon for some fun. I play a lot of engineer and have settled on two weapons in a similar price range that I use quite frequently. They are a C.A.P.P.E.R and an Australium wrench, both professional and strange. I want to buy just one but can’t quite decide between the two. The capper would fit with my aesthetic and Loadout because I like to use the pomson, but I rarely use the pistol, mostly relying on my sentry and shotgun. The wrench would see a lot more use in game, but I prefer the jag and eureka effect and don’t want to have to sacrifice those. I am steadfast in choosing one of them because I’ve played tf2 for a while now and want to have at least one nice item.

Caution: It's important to remember that these evaluations are guides to potential health concerns and not definitive measures of a product's safety or efficacy. They are based on individual ingredients rather than any negative effects the final product may have. The way ingredients interact in a formulation can influence their potential impact, and the presence of a specific ingredient does not automatically equate to harm when used in a product. It's always crucial to do your own research, consider the product as a whole, and keep in mind that personal reactions can vary greatly. When making decisions about personal care products, it is recommended to consult with healthcare professionals.

Brief: The formula is largely based on nonfat milk and lactose, which mimic the natural composition of breast milk. Vegetable oils provide essential fatty acids, while the included ARA and DHA promote brain and eye development. Prebiotics like galactooligosaccharides and fructooligosaccharides are beneficial for gut health. Nonetheless, parents should note that palm olein oil may interfere with calcium absorption. Also, soy allergies are common in infants, so caution is advised if your child has shown any soy-related symptoms. Always consult a pediatrician before introducing a new formula.

Ingredients: Nonfat Milk, Lactose, Vegetable Oils (Palm Olein, Soy, Coconut, High Oleic [Safflower or Sunflower] Oil), Whey Protein Concentrate, Galactooligosaccharides, Less Than 1%: Mortierella Alpina Oil, Crypthecodinium Cohnii Oil, Fructooligosaccharides, Soy Lecithin, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E Acetate, Vitamin K1, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6 Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12, Niacinamide, Folic Acid, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Chloride, Calcium Hydroxide, Magnesium Chloride, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Cupric Sulfate, Potassium Bicarbonate, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Hydroxide, Potassium Phosphate, Sodium Selenite, Sodium Citrate, Taurine, L-Carnitine, Beta-Carotene, Mixed Tocopherol Concentrate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Monoglycerides, Nucleotides (Adenosine-5'-Monophosphate, Cytidine-5'-Monophosphate, Disodium Guanosine-5'-Monophosphate, Disodium Uridine-5'-Monophosphate)

Typical ingredients description and side effects

  • Zinc Sulfate
    • Zinc sulfate is a mineral that is frequently used in dietary supplements and baby formulas. Zinc is an essential nutrient that supports various body functions, including immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cell division. It's particularly important for babies as they grow and develop.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Gastrointestinal Issues: Excessive intake of zinc can cause gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps.
      • Zinc Toxicity: While rare, severe overconsumption can lead to zinc toxicity, with symptoms including loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches. Long-term excessive intake could potentially interfere with the body's absorption of other essential minerals like copper and iron.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 6

  • Manganese Sulfate
    • Manganese sulfate is a mineral that's often used in dietary supplements and food products, including baby formula. Manganese is an essential nutrient that supports many body functions, including bone development, metabolism, and brain function. As of my knowledge, manganese sulfate is generally considered safe in the quantities typically found in food and formula, but excessive intake can lead to adverse effects
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Neurological Effects: High levels of manganese exposure have been associated with neurological issues, but this is generally associated with environmental exposure (like inhaling manganese dust), not dietary intake.
      • Interference with Iron Absorption: Manganese can interfere with the absorption of iron. This is generally not a problem with the levels of manganese found in baby formula, but it could potentially be an issue with very high levels of intake.
      • Digestive Issues: As with any mineral, consuming excessive amounts could potentially cause digestive issues like nausea or diarrhea.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • Ferrous Sulfate
    • Ferrous sulfate is a type of iron supplement that's often added to baby formulas. Iron is an essential nutrient that's necessary for the production of hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. It's also worth noting that some infants may have difficulty absorbing iron from supplements like ferrous sulfate, which can potentially lead to issues such as iron deficiency anemia. However, most infants can absorb and utilize the iron in baby formula without issue.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Gastrointestinal Issues: These can include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, or stomach upset.
      • Iron Toxicity: Though very rare and typically associated with accidental ingestion of iron supplements, iron toxicity can be serious, causing symptoms like dizziness, rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, fever, and in severe cases, can lead to organ damage.
      • Interference with Nutrient Absorption: Excessive iron can interfere with the absorption of other nutrients, such as zinc.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Sodium Selenite
    • Sodium selenite is a form of selenium, an essential mineral required for a variety of biological functions. It is sometimes used in infant formula to ensure that babies get an appropriate amount of this nutrient. Selenium plays several important roles in the body. It's a key component of various enzymes and proteins, many of which are involved in protecting cells from damage. It also supports a healthy immune system, aids in DNA production, and is involved in thyroid hormone metabolism. However, like all nutrients, selenium needs to be consumed in appropriate amounts. Both too much and too little selenium can be harmful.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Selenium Toxicity (Selenosis): Although it's rare, consuming too much selenium over time can lead to selenosis. Symptoms might include gastrointestinal upset, hair loss, white blotchy nails, garlic breath odor, fatigue, irritability, and mild nerve damage.
      • Interference with Other Nutrients: High levels of selenium can interfere with the absorption of other essential nutrients, like zinc.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 10

  • Vitamin A Acetate
    • Vitamin A Acetate, also known as retinyl acetate, is a form of vitamin A that's often added to food products, including infant formula, due to its essential role in supporting vision, the immune system, and overall growth and development. It's generally safe for use in such products, but as with any nutrient, too much can lead to adverse effects. It's important to note that these side effects are generally associated with excessive intake over a prolonged period, not normal dietary consumption.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Vitamin A Toxicity (Hypervitaminosis A): This can occur if an infant is given too much Vitamin A over a long period of time. Symptoms can include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, and even hair loss in severe cases. However, it is extremely rare and typically associated with over-supplementation, not food sources.
      • Birth Defects: Consuming extremely high levels of Vitamin A during pregnancy can potentially lead to birth defects. However, this is not relevant to baby formula but rather a concern for pregnant women.
      • Interactions with other nutrients: High levels of Vitamin A can interfere with the absorption and utilization of other vitamins, such as Vitamin D and Vitamin K.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 9

  • Tocopheryl Acetate
    • Tocopheryl Acetate is a form of vitamin E that is often added to baby formula, skincare products, and various other products. Vitamin E is an essential nutrient known for its antioxidant properties. It plays a crucial role in protecting cells from damage, supporting immune function, and promoting healthy skin and eyes. In the context of baby formula, tocopheryl acetate is generally safe and unlikely to cause side effects when consumed at levels that are within the recommended dietary allowances for infants. However, like any nutrient, it could potentially cause side effects if consumed excessively.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Bleeding: Vitamin E has mild anticoagulant properties, meaning it can prevent blood clots. While this is typically a good thing, in large amounts, it could potentially increase the risk of bleeding.
      • Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Cramps: Some people may experience digestive upset from consuming too much vitamin E.
      • Rash: Some individuals may have a skin reaction to topical use of tocopheryl acetate, though this is less relevant for its presence in baby formula
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • Potassium Hydroxide
    • Potassium Hydroxide is commonly used in the food industry as a pH regulator or a food stabilizer. It helps to maintain the acidity or alkalinity of food, which is important for flavor, preservation, and food safety. In baby formula, Potassium Hydroxide is used to adjust the pH to make it as close to human milk as possible, to ensure optimal digestion and nutrient absorption.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Irritation: Potassium hydroxide is known to be caustic, meaning it can cause irritation or burns if it comes into direct contact with the skin or eyes in its pure form. However, in food products like baby formula, it's used in very diluted quantities that are safe for consumption.
      • Digestive Issues: If consumed in large amounts, potassium hydroxide could potentially cause digestive issues such as nausea or vomiting. However, the small amounts used in food products are unlikely to cause such effects.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 5

  • Soy Lecithin
    • Soy lecithin is a common ingredient found in various food products, including baby formulas. It is derived from soybean oil and is used as an emulsifier, helping to blend and stabilize the ingredients in the formula. Soy lecithin is generally considered safe for consumption, but like any food ingredient, it can have potential side effects or considerations.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Allergies or Sensitivities: Soy is one of the top food allergens, and some individuals may have allergies or sensitivities to soy products, including soy lecithin. Allergic reactions can vary in severity and may include symptoms such as hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, or digestive issues. If your baby has a known soy allergy or shows signs of an allergic reaction after consuming a baby formula containing soy lecithin, it is important to discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
      • Digestive Sensitivities: Some individuals, including babies, may have digestive sensitivities to soy-based products. This can manifest as symptoms like gas, bloating, colic, or diarrhea. If your baby experiences any of these symptoms after consuming a baby formula containing soy lecithin, you may consider discussing alternative formulas with your pediatrician.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

The grading system used by EWG in the Skin Deep database is as follows:
1 to 2: Low hazard
3 to 6: Moderate hazard
7 to 10: High hazard

2023.06.09 15:17 zeekoes [WP] turns out, because humans are sentient you’re not allowed to hunt them under intergalactic law… because of this you have now begrudgingly joined some humans hunting club to make your trip somewhat worthwhile

PART [1/2]
The fresh oxygen-filled air bristled through the green canopy above. Gn’ylaum did appreciate Earth’s aesthetic to some degree, although he would never feel truly at home in these things they called forests. Yet, today he would experience it in a different way, for he was finally invited to go hunting with the human hunting group he had associated with a while ago, for the purpose.
“Do you mind if we take notes?” asked one of the four humans he was accompanying.
“Notes about what?” Gn’ylaum asked.
“Just, we’re unfamiliar with your kind and hunting, just for future reference,” answered another man, that had introduced himself as Joseph to Gn’ylaum. “I imagine you’ll also be marking some observations about us.”
That hadn’t occurred to Gn’ylaum. He wasn’t exactly looking to making a habit out of human-style hunting. He more or less did it, because hunting humans had been outlawed. This was the closest thing he would ever get, although he wouldn’t tell his companions the truth about that, he supposed.
“Sure,” nodded Gn’ylaum.
Packed with primitive weapons that humans called shotguns, and backpacks filled with miscellaneous supplies, the hunting group set off into the thick overgrown woods. On the search for a life form called deer, or boar, and some other denominations that didn’t say much to Gn’ylaum. He would follow and shoot when pointed where. He figured it wouldn’t be to difficult, since human society seemed to be at least several centuries behind on development to the civilization Gn’ylaum called home.
They had been walking for over an hour in a stiff pace. Gn’ylaum could keep up, but he wondered why humans bothered traveling in such an exhausting way. Joseph had halted the group at the edge of a clearing in between the trees. It was covered in long sharp grass and dotted by patches of bracken. Gn’ylaum had familiarized himself with Earth’s flora in preparation of the trip. It seemed so much more diverse and complex than the low grade coverage on his home planet. It was about the only thing he appreciated about this place. Even though the compactness of it sparked a hint of claustrophobia within him. Joseph gestured everyone to crouch and so they did, then he whispered Gn’ylaum over to him, so he could observe from close how they were going to shoot the deer that was apparently grazing within the clearing. Gn’ylaum hadn't seen the deer, which he credited towards the survival instinct of the animal.
“You check where the wind is coming from,” Joseph whispered. “You try to approach the with headwind, so that it cannot smell you coming and any noise that you make gets carried away from the animal.”
This made sense to Gn’ylaum. Even though he couldn’t remember animals of prey at home that would be this complicated to hunt. Most of the species on his home planet reproduced at such a rate that it would be near impossible to make a dent in their populations, when hunting them for food. Although he had understood that humans do not always hunt to provide, but also for something they call sport. Where they go about wastefully killing things to see if they can. It was a strange concept, but Gn’ylaum would be open minded about it and try before judging.
“If you’re close enough, you line the barrel of your gun along your arm, and aim it using this small indent up front,” Joseph whispered. “You need to get the head or chest, depending on what you’re hunting, right in between it.”
Thus far Gn’ylaum could follow the instructions. The weapon had seemed crude to him, but it turned out he had underestimated the sophistication of the human hunting process somewhat. There was a clear aim behind everything. Though no efficient, it had a certain elegance Gn’ylaum couldn’t deny.
“If you’ve steadied your aim, you hold your breath,” Joseph proceeded. “You guys do breath, right?” he asked, as if suddenly unsure.
Gn’ylaum nodded. His species did breath, although they didn’t need the oxygen, but their bodies processed the nitrogen in the air. Something of which Earth had plenty, so that Gn’ylaum could go about his way, without the need of aiding equipment.
“BOOM!” yelled one of the other men out of nowhere.
Both the deer and Gn’ylaum startled at the sudden loud exclamation. The deer sped off in the forest and Gn’ylaum dropped backwards on the ground. The men – bar Joseph – laughed loudly as if they were amused and proud by scaring their guest to death.
“Very funny guys,” said Joseph, as he stretched his arm out towards Gn’ylaum, to give him a hold to get back on his feet. ”Anyway, that was all, except for pulling the trigger. You shoot the next one Gn’ylaum.”
Gn’ylaum simply rubbed his backside, and cleaned his coat. As he picked up his gun from the ground, he saw the men that had laughed earlier, making notes about his movements. Which seemed odd to Gn’ylaum, as he hadn’t done anything of particular use to the goal of this trip, but he choose not to question it and strapped the weapon over his shoulder.

2023.06.09 15:14 Melody705 First Post-My Experience with Menopause and HRT

Hello Lovely Ladies!
This is my first post here-I think I may have replied a time or so to a random post over the last few months. I've been reading here several times a week, and wanted to talk about some things I've read-along with my own struggles and what I've tried to do to help myself.
I am 57. I went through my first year with no period at 54. At the last month of that, I had the worst period of my life. I'd been bleeding heavily for a decade before, and had fibroids-barely managed to keep my uterus with Prometrium 200 mg. nightly for three weeks out of every month. But this was....a crime scene. I had to use plain cotton baby diapers folded up with a heavy disposable pad on top of that and change every two hours-I went like that for 5 days until it slowed down. I was weak as a kitten and on vacation at the beach expecting to have a great time. It literally sucked.
Some women say it can be like that. I never had another period again.
I stayed on the Prometrium and investigated what type of estrogen replacement I might be able to take with Fibroids. For a year or so, I took no estrogen. I finally got so desperate with no sex drive, sleep, no feeling in my clitoris or nipples, grouchy and unfeeling towards people-and the biggie-I couldn't remember anything and felt I was losing my mind. My cholesterol, blood sugar and A1C went sky high. So, I started the lowest minimal dose of Bi-est cream.
I felt amazing after the side effects of bloating and breast tenderness wore off. My sex drive came back, and although my clitoris and nipple feelings didn't come back well, I could orgasm occasionally. But the best of all was that my brain power returned and I could function again without seeming like an idiot. I even started nursing school and did really well with tests, etc. Sleep still suffered, but it wasn't as bad.
Then this last January, I had a 4 day mild period-like bleed. I used a mini pad a day. I called my GYN and immediately went off the Bi-Est and waited to be seen. In March, I had an Ultrasound and then in April I had a uterine biopsy done. My uterine lining was at 8, and biopsy was negative for cancer. It turns out my lining was at 8 before starting the Bi-Est cream the year before, and I wasn't told (I was pissed about that). So, the Estrogen didn't cause it. I was off the Bi-Est for 4 months before I felt I just couldn't survive all the symptoms anymore. They all came roaring back, and if anything, worse than before. I contacted my doc in tears and asked, please, for something. She called in a compounded cream of the most lowest dose of Bi-Est (1.86 mg, I think) along with Testosterone and DHEA mixed in, and a bit of Progesterone. I'm going to continue to take the Prometrium at night, because it has an affinity for the uterine tissue and is super protective against uterine cancer-the cream version can be debated, but it doesn't seem to work as well for prevention of cancer. At some point, I'm going to have to have my uterus out. I'm starting this cream this week, wish me luck.
I spent alot of time researching what I could do for myself in the meantime. Here's what has worked so far:
  1. Prioritize yourself. See your doctor and get the labs and meds you need. I am now on a low-dose Statin (I hate it but....) and Ozempic for the Diabetes. I ate clean and minimal carbs, but something happened when I went into Meno that was very bad-like I hit a point health wise and age wise where the bad stuff was going to start to happen. On Ozempic, my A1C has gone down to 5.3 from 8.9 and body inflammation everyplace has toned down. Do what you need to do for YOU.
  2. HYDRATE-something I struggled with. I started drinking 1/2 gallon of non-caffeinated teas with added water to a jug everyday. This totally adjusted my digestive system and I don't feel as fatigued or constipated.
  3. SLEEP-I use a mixture of things and I rotate them so I don't get too used to them and they fail to work. One night I may take a Benedryl, the next L-Theanine, the next a Melatonin tab-but always take these with Glycine 1,000 mgs and Magnesium Glycinate, 5 capsules to make sure I get just over that 100% daily requirement. I'm thinking off trying to add in Taurine. Resveratrol 100 mgs. makes me sleepy, too. I still wake up at 2-4a.m. and struggle to get back to sleep, but if I'm in bed by 9 and asleep by 10, then I get at least 4-5 hours. With the Bi-Est, I was getting 7 hours. If I'm really stressed about a nursing proctor test the next day or such, I'll take L-Theanine with Melatonin or the Benedryl. Find what works for you individually.
  4. HRT-hoping this new combo is going to work for me. I absolutely can't make it without the estrogen. We will see what will happen with the DHEA and Testosterone with sex drive and feeling in the bits again. The key is getting what I need at the minimal dose and preventing uterine cancer until I can get the insurance to pay to get my uterus out.
I hope this helps someone here. I find that if I just wake up and say to myself "I'm going to prioritize hydrating and sleep today", that it makes everything seem better. I can't let myself down on those two things, ever-because then I struggle and it's a downhill slide.

2023.06.09 14:59 OhMyYes82 Current Products That Don't Work (As Well As They Could)

I've used SO many fabulous Lush products and I'm not trying to be a Negative Nancy... but I do want to bring up a few mainline products that I really think Lush needs to consider the next time it discontinues items to make room for new and improved.
SHAVING CREAMS - I'm not going to lie... I liked D'Fluff. Was it the most amazing shaving cream I'd ever used? No... but it didn't clog my razor. Dirty does... and Shaved Ice does so badly that it is completely unusable. Where I might have been able to use a disposable razor 2-3 times with a different brand's shaving gel or cream, I've had to discard them after 1 use when I used either Shaved Ice or Dirty. I use Lush for all of my other skin care products but razors aren't cheap... and if they want people to spend those kinds of prices on shaving products they really need to do some testing and put out more effective products.
LIME BOUNTY - Who doesn't live for a citrusy body lotion... especially in summer? Karma is delightful and so is the Sweet Wild Orange hand cream if you're looking for that yummy citrusy kick. I'm honestly really surprised that Lime Bounty is still a thing... it's goopy, those little butter strips are bizarre and it smells like disinfectant. It's also one note - A lemon or lime body lotion is a great idea, but it needs something with it - coconut, bergamot, neroli, blackberry, raspberry, anything.
LIP BALMS - I'm going to be blunt... Lush lip balms can sometimes be drying. The Snow Fairy lip jelly they had at Christmas was the complete opposite. It was an absolutely flawless product - one of the best lip products that Lush has ever come up with IMO. They really need to look at doing more of these lip jellies and phase out some of the lip balms.
What are your thoughts on these and are there other current products now that you think really need a re-think?

2023.06.09 14:51 poynz13 Turning a Random Card into an EDH Deck (In Oketra's Name)

“Azorius Zombies”
Welcome to another edition of a random card being turned into an EDH Deck! Every Friday I create a budget (<$100) EDH Deck based entirely around a random card that I pull from scryfall.com (or that is suggested by someone else, either way it’s still random to me). I would love it if anyone has any suggestions for future random cards/decks or just wants to share their own experiences with any cards or decks discussed, I think this is a ton of fun.

Deck List
Deck Tech/Gameplay Video: (Okaun, Eye of Chaos & Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom vs Jalira, Master Polymorphist vs Atraxa, Grand Unifier vs Tobias, Doomed Conqueror)
This week’s deck uses [In Oketra's Name]] as our random card and [[Tobias, Doomed Conqueror]] as the commander. Normally, when you think of zombies in Magic, you think of the color black. That's where you get all of the lord effects, token generators, and card draw. But, is it possible to build a zombie deck without using black? Thanks to Amonkhet giving us white zombies and Innistrad giving us blue zombies, the answer to that question is technically yes, although it will lack a little bit of power by excluding black. However, we can make up for that lack of power with synergies, interaction, and resiliency. First, we need to find cards that care about zombies in white/blue and that's where cards like [[Mummy Paramount]], [[Rooftop Storm]], and [[Empty the Laboratory]] come in. Since white/blue are the primary support colors for decks that play black zombies, it means we also get access to those support pieces. Unfortunately, with only support pieces, we won't be winning any games; we also need zombies. Even though most zombies are black we still get some powerful creatures like [[Cleaver Skaab]], [[God-Eternal Kefnet]], and [[Forgotten Creation]]. However, that's still not enough to win us the game so we needed more. That's where Embalm and Eternalize come in. By playing cards like [[Champion of Wits]], [[Timeless Dragon]], and [[Angel of Sanctions]] we can play creatures that don't start off as zombies but eventually become zombies. This also sets us up really well to survive a board wipe by flashing in Tobias, replacing everything that dies with a 2/2 Zombie Token, and then Embalming/Eternalizing everything that died.
Embalm and Eternalize lead very nicely into our final theme of the deck: tokens. We may not be able to play the color black in our deck but we're still very capable of making black zombie creature tokens. Tobias does it, [[God-Pharaoh's Gift]] does it, and any of our Eternalize creatures do it as well. But, that's not the most efficient token generation we've got in the deck. That actually comes from [[Reflections of Littjara]], [[God-Eternal Oketra]], and [[Stitcher Geralf]]. Reflections lets us double every single zombie we cast, Oketra lets us create a 4/4 token whenever we cast a creature, and Geralf lets us hate out the graveyard while taking creatures for our own benefit. Any of these cards can easily win us the game if they're allowed to stay on the field for an extended period of time. However, as we know in commander, we need to draw cards and recur our value in order to stay in the game. Because of that, we're running cards like [[Kindred Discovery]] and [[Hordewing Skaab]] as card draw or card selection while we're also able to play [[Ascend From Avernus]] to mass reanimate our creatures and continue to present a threat to the rest of the table. So, when it's all said and done, is this deck as powerful as a zombie deck that includes black? Probably not. Does that mean it's bad and shouldn't be played? Not at all. The deck still runs incredibly well, catches opponents off guard, and demonstrates that just because black is the primary zombie color, a deck doesn't need it to play zombies.
In the end, this deck came in at $60.30 with [[Necroduality]] being the most expensive card at $11.46. Necroduality is another example of our token generation strategy since it just doubles any zombie we cast. However, we do already have a ton of token generation so if you needed to cut this card and trim the total price of the deck down below $50 then it's an easy cut to make.
On the other hand, if you don’t mind increasing the budget and want a suggestion for an out of budget upgrade, plus what I would take out, then I’ve got you covered. The upgrade I would suggest is to put in [[Mondrak, Glory Dominus]] ($22.32) for [[Unconventional Tactics]]. Unconventional Tactics is a ton of fun for this deck; a repeatable pump effect that can be bought back whenever we play a zombie? That's fun. But, unfortunately, it's not particularly strong. Mondrak, though, doubles up our tokens and also gives us a strong body to back it up. The only downside to Mondrak (other than the price) is that it's not a zombie so, you know, flavor fail.
Thanks for checking out the deck and reading about it/watching the video! I hope you all like it and if you think there are improvements to be made, if you have suggestions, or just want to chat about it, then let me know. Also, a quick plug: if you want to guarantee that your suggestions get turned into decks or a variety of other benefits (including access to a discord channel to play in the games, help build the decks, getting the decklists a week early, and one of the random cards shipped to you every month) then check me out on www.patreon.com/dungeonlearnersguide

2023.06.09 14:50 Forever_Pancakes I don't know what to think

I'm 35, I had 2 kids with complicated pregnancies. So I have diastasis recti, and wrinkly skin on my stomach. I also breastfed, so my boobs are no longer perky, but have that tear drop shap where they are flatter on the top.
I went to consult for abdominal surgery to fix my diastasis, and also to get information on a breast lift. Turns out, i cant get the plump look I want without implants, which is never something I even considered, I am not comfortable with that for myself.
I asked my boyfriend for his opinion, and he said that my body used to be perfect but thats its ok that its not anymore, and went on that implants aren't like they used to be, and that its a safe surgery and not too big of a deal. Ive had a reduction before, it still hurts like hell.
His words have been swimming in my head for the last few days, I know I asked for his opinion but I just cant get it out of my head that my body isnt perfect anymore for him in his eyes. Its important to note that he is a site manager for porn, so all day he sees and deals with porn stars, which adds another layer of insecurity for me. I cant help but compare myself to them, and feel inferior and like im damaged goods.
Now Im wondering if i shouldnt just do the breast augmentation, because I want him to be as attracted to me as he once was before kids. He says they are still great, but I cant help but feel like a downgrade.
Im also majorly depressed and anxious and Im currently on medical leave from work while I go through therapy and adjust to medication, ive started going to the gym(im 5'2, 104lbs, so i didnt gain weight), but even that gives me major anxiety, so i guess his comment is hitting harder than it should?
I just dont know what to think about myself, i never had good self esteem and now i just feel like a wrinkly old saggy shrew that my own boyfriend of 15 years doesnt enjoy looking at because im a downgrade of my former self. Would surgery help me feel better about myself? What should I do?

2023.06.09 14:35 Gr4sn Price Adjustments?

I stupidly ran out and stocked up on the $4.95 body care yesterday because I was afraid the big threatening "ENDS TODAY" banner meant it was going to jump up to 50% today. Nope. It dropped back down to $3.95. Last year a price dropped a few days after I purchased and I was able to do a price adjustment in store. I know the return policy has changed since then -- does anyone know if this is still something I can do? TIA!

2023.06.09 14:31 FarawayScreech I just experienced an aborted plane landing at SFO. It felt like I was waiting to die

When you’re trapped in a metal tube traveling more than 200 miles per hour in the air, you really don’t ever want to be confused.
But this week, on an evening United flight from Chicago to San Francisco, I and my fellow passengers were all very, very confused as the plane gently glided down toward the glittering lights of the Peninsula — then jerked right back up, filling the cabin with the deafening roar of jet engines on overdrive. As we floated above the clouds once more, the people sitting around me gripped their armrests and prayed; the pilot and flight attendants were silent, save to reprimand a panicked passenger who kept hitting the call button, the softness of its pings undercutting the urgency of its repetition.
We passengers were helplessly enduring the possibility that we might have all blown up together, our molecules splicing into a fiery tangle of flesh and titanium. Someone asked me if experiencing an aborted landing was like an out-of-body experience, and I’d say that it’s actually the opposite. Jolted out of the familiar bumps of a normal landing, you’re keenly aware of every hitch and noise in the plane around you and biding time until something bad possibly happens. Your ears cling to every whimper of your neighbors, and you feel envious of the babies that feel free enough to wail.
The next morning, I told a colleague about the landing and they asked, “Wait, the one I just read about?” I marveled at how quickly the news traveled — and then discovered that The Chronicle’s story was about a different United flight that aborted a landing at San Francisco International Airport on May 12. A week later, two separate flights into SFO aborted landings after spotting the same plane crossing their runway lanes.
What scared me the most was the familiarity of this feeling. For me, it wasn’t just the fear of dying, but something deeper: a low-lying dread that has hummed inside me ever since March 2020. I just don’t have faith anymore that anything in life is going to work like it’s supposed to work.
It’s like Alanis Morissette’s famous song about irony, looping in our lives ad nauseam. Like, wouldn’t it be ironic if the health care workers trying to save people got assaulted and yelled at more during a pandemic? Wouldn’t it be kind of weird for queer and trans activists to be arrested at a Pride parade? And like on the plane, it seems like you’re just supposed to sit there and wait for things to even out.
Remember when we kept hearing about a post-pandemic “return to normalcy”? On the surface, it’s about de-escalating the emergency: throwing away the masks and sending the kids to school. If “normalcy” speaks to a worry-free way of life, we’re way past the point of no return. Turns out, you can’t assume that cops will rush into a school to save children from being slaughtered. Turns out, your friendly neighbors think that vaccines are a way for Bill Gates to implant 5G receivers under your skin. Turns out, the plane might not land the way you assumed it would. We can’t unshrink the sweater; we can’t reverse the calendar to January 2020. Too much has changed.

2023.06.09 14:25 Savitar0316 Period

My gf and I had sex 2 weeks ago protected with condom. Condom didn’t break. Her period was suppose to start yesterday but she still hasn’t gotten it. She does have cramps tender breast and all of that. She says it’s because we are now out of school and her body has to re regulate out because she was stressed during the school semester and they were coming early. I of course am a little freaked out but it has been late like this before and she hasn’t slept in 16 hours. She’s asleep now though. She has had her pms and stuff and she says she feels it coming.

2023.06.09 14:19 SunSkies7 AITA for refusing to get a tattoo for my mum?

My (18f) mum (55f) developed breast cancer four years ago. Since then she has been through treatment and is now cancer free. When she first started treatment, her, my older sister (now 21, then 17) and me (then 14) all agreed that in a few years we would each get a pink ribbon tattoo to show our support. At this point I also thought that I wanted a lot of other, in hindsight pretty terrible, tattoos. Now that I can legally get a tattoo, I have decided I don’t want any.
My mum has taken great offence to this, and is accusing me of not loving her enough and not having enough empathy for her struggle with cancer. She is also calling me a hypocrite as I have numerous piercings but refuse to get tattoos, stating that they are both forms of body modification, and I shouldn’t be against one and not the other. She says that it is cruel of me to break a promise I made to her during such a vulnerable time.
From my perspective, I think it is unfair to hold me to a promise I made when I was a child, particularly for something so permanent. I was very hurt when she said I didn’t love her enough as I love her so so much and try my best to show it, although I know that sometimes I struggle to show it due to my autism. I also tried to be as supportive as I could be during her treatment, and often donate to breast cancer charities and partake in fundraisers. As for the piercings, to me they are far less permanent than tattoos. If you don’t like a piercing you can take it out and either it will completely heal up and leave no mark, or there will be a very small hole left over. You can chose when you want to draw attention to them and when you don’t, by removing/replacing jewellery. You cannot hide or minimise tattoos so quickly from home, the only option is to spend more time, money and pain on a removal. Speaking of pain, I have a very low pain tolerance and there are some piercings I will not get for this reason. The fact that I can stand piercing pain for the ones I have is because the initial sharp pain is very quick, and not something that I’d have to sit still and endure for a while. The healing pain is fairly minor and easily dampened.
My sister is still happy to get the tattoo, but agrees that I shouldn’t be forced to. After struggling with bodily autonomy and not feeling connected to my body for a while, I have finally started feeling in control and decorating with piercings helps that. But I don’t want to alter my body in a way that I personally haven’t chosen and don’t feel comfortable with. I don’t need a tattoo to prove my love and support, and it hurts that my mum thinks I do. But I know how tough of a time it was for her during treatment, it was tough for the whole family too, and I don’t want her to think I’m downplaying the experience. AITA?

Are you having trouble getting enough leafy greens in your diet? Greens supplements are the answer! These powdered vitamins, which contain all of the nutrients and health advantages of fresh vegetables, are an easy and practical approach to guarantee your body gets what it needs. There's a reason why greens supplements have grown so popular in Canada, from boosting energy levels to assisting digestion. In this post, we'll look at the greatest options on the market and how you can easily include them into your daily routine to get a more balanced diet.

Greens Supplements and Their Health Benefits

Greens supplements are a popular approach to ensure that your body gets the nutrients it requires. These supplements contain a range of leafy greens rich in vitamins A, C, E, and K, such as kale, spinach, wheatgrass, and chlorella. They also contain minerals like iron and calcium, which help with bone health.
Greens supplements, in addition to supplying critical vitamins and minerals, are high in antioxidants, which help protect cells from free radical damage. This can result in a variety of advantages, such as better immunological function, reduced inflammation levels in the body, and even anti-aging effects.
Another advantage of greens supplements is that they help with digestion. The high fiber content of these powdered supplements aids in the movement of food through the digestive tract, resulting in higher nutritional absorption overall.
Greens supplements can provide several nutritional benefits for optimal health when included in your everyday diet.

A well-balanced diet is necessary for optimum health and well-being. It entails eating a wide variety of meals in precise amounts to provide your body with all of the nutrients it requires to function properly.
Vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein-rich foods are essential components of a balanced diet. Consuming a variety of fruits and vegetables can help lower the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.
Whole grains can also offer you long-lasting energy throughout the day while lowering your chances of acquiring type 2 diabetes. Lean proteins, such as chicken breast or fish, supply vital amino acids for muscular growth and bone health.
Processed foods heavy in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats should be avoided since they contribute to weight gain, which raises the risk factors for chronic diseases described previously.
A well-balanced diet not only promotes physical health but also contributes considerably to mental health by reducing mood swings and alleviating anxiety symptoms. So make sure you're eating nutrient-dense meals on a regular basis to keep your mind and body pleased!

Fat Transfer: Surgeries, Results, Risks & What To Expect
These days, the procedures of fat transfer have gained substantial popularity in the arena of cosmetic surgeons. It is even recognized as fat injections or fat grafting; this advanced technology allows people to improve their looks by using their fat to rejuvenate and augment different areas. Whether it is plumping up the area of the cheeks, enhancing the breasts, or revitalizing the hands, fat transfer has become a natural and versatile option to traditional fillers or implants. Here, we will discover the intricacies of fat transfer surgeries, discuss the expected outcomes, delve into possible risks, and shed some light on what to expect from the process.

Understanding Fat Transfer Surgery:
Talking about fat transfer surgery contains two critical steps: reaping fat from one specific body area and inserting it into any other area that needs rejuvenation or augmentation. The process starts with the removal of fat from the sites of the donor, like the thighs, abdomen, or buttocks, generally through the process of liposuction. The collected fat is then processed to remove impurities and excess fluids before being meticulously injected into the desired areas.

2023.06.09 13:59 Tall-Analyst-3233 Low-Cost Surrogacy in Mumbai: Is it a Viable Option for Couples Struggling with Infertility?

Low-Cost Surrogacy in Mumbai: Is it a Viable Option for Couples Struggling with Infertility?
Mumbai is the dream city of India where every fertility treatment's success rates are also dream-like. The success rates here are so high that very rarely failures happen. Even when they happen the reasons are mostly the infertile eggs and sperm. The surrogacy cost in Mumbai is also the reason for everyone to come to this place. The Surrogacy Cost in Mumbai is really reasonable and affordable. Not everyone can afford it but people in need will always know this is the reasonable price they can have.

td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}surrogacy cost in mumbai
As everyone knows surrogacy is a reproductive activity where the female partner cannot carry and deliver the baby. Therefore, another woman takes the female partner’s place. Though no one has to worry as in the end the parental rights are the couple’s not the surrogate’s.

What is the surrogacy process in Mumbai?

Everyone should know the surrogacy procedure before going through surrogacy. First of all, not everyone can have surrogacy in India. Only when couples are going through severe infertility can they have surrogacy in Mumbai?
Next, the surrogacy process starts with the medical examination of the surrogate to know if her body is fit for the pregnancy. Then a consultant gives counselling to the couple to prepare their minds. The third step is always to get your legal agreement.
The fourth step has the IVF process where the doctors collect and combine the couple’s gametes. This is to form an embryo. Once the embryo is here the doctor will insert it into the female uterus. In two weeks the pregnancy result will come.

What is surrogacy cost in Mumbai?

After the process, everyone wants to know the surrogacy charges in Mumbai. First of all, they should know that India follows the altruistic form of surrogacy where no surrogate mother cost in Mumbai is legal. A surrogate needs compensation in commercial surrogacy which has a ban in India.
Next, the surrogacy price in Mumbai is flexible. In some centres, you can have the treatment at a low cost. In others the treatment costs are sky-high.
Only at World Fertility Services the surrogacy price is INR 15,00,000 to INR 25,00,000. This is a reasonable price. It is neither low nor high. It is not low because this centre has used advanced technology for successful outcomes. And it is not high because they know how precious money is.

Can we lower the surrogacy cost in Mumbai?

Everyone wants to lower their surrogacy cost in Mumbai by applying or during some remedy. But is it really possible? No, surrogacy prices cannot raise or fall with some remedy of the patients.
All the patient can do is to make sure their health is at the right level. If they are not healthy then there will be several illnesses. How nowadays people are struggling with high blood pressure and diabetes.
When the health is fit of the couple’s then their gametes have a high chance of still being fertile. For this, the couple must let go of their addictions such as smoking and drinking alcohol. If they can then they must add light exercises to their schedule.

td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}surrogacy charges in mumbai

What affects the surrogacy cost in Mumbai?

As previously said surrogacy cost is flexible, there are factors that can increase or decrease it. The surrogacy cost in India Mumbai has the number one factor that generally increases it, ‘donor eggs and sperm.’
When the couple does not have healthy eggs and sperm, doctors recommend the use of donor gametes. Sometimes the need of advance treatments to use also rises because of infertility issues.
Other than this, there is the price of medical tests and medicines. Doctors can only give an approximate total cost of it, as only at the end do they know what tests were performed and what needs to be performed.

Which centre provides the best surrogacy cost in Mumbai?

As only the best Surrogacy Centre in Mumbai can provide the treatment with high success everyone wants to know the name of it. World Fertility Services is that centre.
Only at World Fertility Services can a patient receive a decent surrogacy amount. Even then there will not be any flaw in the treatments. The advanced technology of this centre is the number one reason for the treatments to go on in flow.
The staff members take care of the patients. The doctors all have high experience and different expertise. Their services and facilities are also top-notch.

What are the issues in surrogacy in Mumbai?

Every treatment has some issues. Surrogacy is not different from them at this point. Surrogacy has some issues too though they are minor.
First of all the number one issue is that the baby is separated in this process from a woman who gave birth to that baby. Surrogates can go into depression if the couples do not take care of them properly.
Other than this, sometimes the surrogate losses the ability to bear a child in her womb. That is why India has a rule that only a mother who has children can be a surrogate.

Is the surrogate baby normal?

After knowing that surrogacy has some flaws too, the next question everyone is usually to know if the surrogate baby is the same as the normal-born baby.
They should know only the pregnancy procedure has changed, the baby will still be the same. It is very rare that the baby is weaker or shows signs of disability. Even then the baby is yours; disability does not change this fact.
Next, the surrogate baby is genetically related to the couple. Only the couple has parental rights to the baby. The surrogate cannot take away the baby. And the couple can reassure that the baby will look like you.

What are the chances of failure?

The chance of failure means the opposite of success in surrogacy. At World Fertility Services people will not just get a low-cost surrogacy in Mumbai; instead, they will have success too.
The surrogacy success rate at World Fertility Services is the highest; the reason has already been discussed.
The chance of failure only appears when the patients do not follow the instructions of the doctors.
